A sad way to start a New Year with terrible match making. Last year it was with Cuban wannabees. Now it is the sons on one time greats. Friday Night Fights needs to fire their match makers and start over. What a waste of air time lat night was.

Teddy Atlas was pompous as usual and the new guy in the studio???? Please get someone interesting to listen to at least. That way when the fights suck we can learn something about the sport of boxing.

I hear you, but I'm just glad to have some boxing on.

AS for the matchmaking, if ESPN wants to draw in viewers and capitalize on a good 2011 FNF lineup, they need to make sure they get fighters whose style is viewer friendly.

    Word. :good

OP was saying how last years season Debut was a let down to some, but it turned into one of the best seasons of FNF's I can remember.

It's good to see them back. :yep

You got 8 months of cards to look forward to. Not every main event can be awesome lol.

And Osuna isn't Brian Kenny but he still knows what he's doing, he's a vet of the spanish boxing broadcasts.

Complaints are unwarranted really, just be happy we get FnF back every week again.

Indeed my man. I for one am glad to have some boxing to watch. Between FNF, the new NBC cards and and the Spike TV/Top Rank cards, 2012 looks like there's a lot of boxing to be watched without P-ing PV. Amen to that.

Sure it was a bad card, but this happens. On balance, FNF provides good, B-level matches to fans every week, most of which entertain to some degree. And even the crap is better than no boxing at all.
