Manfredo isn't the best fighter, but he comes to fight and has a lot of heart. He will get another title shot, due to his name recognition from being on "The Contender."

The FNF season is shaping up well,as there are a few good fights coming up on the schedule. Their is no broadcast this upcoming week,I believe due to the Australian Open.

I agree, season looks good so far. Next broadcast has Arreola vs. Abell, and I think Shawn Porter on the one after that?

I have the matchups listed in the boxing calendar thread if anyone is interested.

FNF is the closest thing we have to having a regular boxing show. I wish they could lure some relevant fights on board.

I hope Manfredo can get another big fight or 2, make some money and get out of the business. Good luck to him.

Very pleased with FNF so far!
Only thing, they should get some better judges. Because damn!

    This.

Manfredo is decent enough, but not champion material. He'd be an excellent stepping stone though, and after 2 more decent wins against top 15 talent, he'll get another shot. He'll lose a decision or by way of TKO, and then he'll become a gauge fighter for the up-n-comers, kinda like Barrett has become at HW.

I like Monte Barrett a lot. He should have got the decision in 2005 when he fought Rahman for one of the belts.

Yeah, was a good fight, but Rahman has that win over Lewis, so DK made sure the only way he was losing was by KO.

I was there....sat behind Barrett's corner. His face was a mess but I thought he won by the slightest of margin. Oliver McCall pasted some Polish guy on the undercard. I got to see both guys who KOd Lewis in one night which was pretty cool.
