Brian Kenny looked like that little dork in highschool pleading for somebody to agree with his point of view... "Teddy don't you agree with me I'm trying to act like I know about boxing and if you agree it will validate my whole existence" Atlas KO1
Right, because Teddy trained M. Moorer to the HW championship, against a dude who had a heart attack in the ring, his opinions must be the right ones. Question of a doubt has to be thrown out the window when simply looking at Atlas' fight picks track record. Even though Kenny has a job that keeps him directly in contact with boxing week in and week out, knows what he's talkin about obviously, his opinions have to be horse ****, because the great Atlas said so? Right?
Now I'm not saying anything about who's right and who's wrong because obviously it's been well documented that Atlas' fight picks have been horendous and his scoring more than a little suspect. my coment was due to the manner in which Kenny sought Teddy's opinion..."maybe I'm crazy, am I crazy?, teddy tell me I'm not crazy..." it seemed like a little kid asking his big brother to back him up, that's all I do still believe Atlas would whoop up on Kenny lol
Pav's the main man, for sure. I was laughing at it yesterday though when I noticed, in typical "Pavlik fashion sense", how sun burned his head and neck are while his shoulders etc are blinding white.:rofl Guy can fight like a mofo though.:yep
Kenny is an excellent studio analyst. You can tell he loves the sport and unlike almost every other mainstream anchor, he actually knows the fighters beyond Tyson and Holyfield.
I'm starting a campaign to get Roy Kellerman's old job. Whatever your opinion of him personally, the man knows how to articulate his boxing knowledge. He's also getting better with age at knowing when and how to turn off his "promoter speak".
This was a very good week for ESPN. Both the fight shows, wednesday and Friday - were chock full of excitement. Lots of action, lots of knockouts, competitive matchups. What more can you ask for??
