Yeah is most definitely off.
Heard FOX called an emergency meeting yesterday as they got a call from 1 of the main fighters on the card that he wasnt even informed about flights anything for travelling interstate.
FOX apparently didnt put any money into the card either...as the cards promoter approached FOX instead of FOX allocating the date & giving minor $$$ as the norm.
Heard Hoppa especially & a couple others on the card were getting big $$$ that obviously was not coming from FOX or TV, so i guess a major sponsor or financial backer pulled out...coz apparently the ticket sales were soft too.

 

It goes to show Andriy that whenever a card is being organized the financial aspects need to take precident which unfortunately does not happen with inexperienced promoters.

 

these fights should of been in sydney or in brisbane as there's good crowds up there its a shame i was really looking forward to this card prob more so then any fox card this year...

Apparently the venue wanted their site fee paid up and the promoters major sponsor didn't come up with the cash.

Kegs, fox only give minor $ to the promoters for their fox cards?

....wouldn't say minor mate.

 

Having 8 or so of australia's best heavies fight on the same card and it is not going to be cheap to bankroll the purses.

An optimistic guess just for the purses would have to be circa $70k atleast id think

 

Depends who promotes the card really Jet mate.
I have heard the figure varies from FOX, sometimes being minor $$$ just a 4 digit number (like 6K:yep)....while other times being a 5 digit one (20K region).

 

Was really looking forward to this card. Very dissapointing its off.

 

Ambitious, perhaps over ambitions, appears to be the lesson here.

Real pity - was a great card on paper.

 

That was probably a big clue right there.

Might see the same structure at Docklands early next year.... something similar.
