I thought the same until the KO. That was a bad KO. I don't think he would agree to that.

The triple excuses/reasons kovaleve gave after the fight about losing will tell you it was no sparring but even I found it odd how kov fought though this was after Ward had defeated him and he wasn't the same krusher we knew.

I’ve already explained this in my posts

Short camp + one round where he was hurt against Yarde = unable to throw a hard punch and extend arms against a midget coming up two weight classes and having knocked no one legit out at 154lbs or 160lbs..

Kovalev was +500 to stop Canelo; Canelo was +150 to stop Kovalev. Whatever *you* thought, the betting public recognized which fighter was the hunter and which was the prey.

You need to understand better how boxing works. Sometimes a guy will use his job as an offensive weapon, and sometimes he will use it defensively. Kov was a defensive fighter vs Canelo, relying on his boxing and reach advantage. And it kind of worked! He had more success than I thought he would.

You wanted him to be the younger Krusher, but old & tired Kovalev could not fight that way any longer and he tried to win a defensive fight versus Canelo. It predictably did not work, but he did legitimately win some rounds. Canelo simply was the vastly superior fighter at that stage of their careers.

You don't get a draw card in a fight with Mayweather were you probably lost every round without shady connections.

EVERY damn fight this ginger ***** takes part in has some fix or another in his favor.

    EVERY damn fight.

And what kills me is he's talking to the press as if the whole world didn't realize what a size 10 sleazebag he is.

It's freaking hilarious ..but also quite concerning that people defend this guy or turn a blind eye to what he is doing. I think this really says a lot about the boxing fanbase

To this day, that maybe the worst scorecard in recent history. A fight where Mayweather dominated him. You can tell the plan all along was to make CA the next big cash cow. To his credit, he lived up to it and Canelo has been biggest cash cow in the game.

Yes exactly, most people felt it wasn't a fix.

Probably because, as I said, most people had Kovalev pitching a shut out.

He also dominated an old Benard Hopkins.

That's why I don't understand your posts, tho. Canelo is a cherrypicking MFer; he doesn't need a fixed fight. He cherrypicked Kovalev because he *knew* it would be a relatively easy fight, and he's trying to do the same thing now with Badou Jack. The betting public isn't fooled, tho.

Canelo at times has pushed himself like fighting Lara. I was impressed. But now he has a young stallion in his own division and won't give him the time of day.

    Nope, it wasn't.

People always claiming the fights they don't like the result of are fixed are the flat earthers of boxing.

I don’t care about the result, in fact I would have liked the smaller guy to beat the bigger guy because that would demonstrate high level skill overcoming a weight advantage…

Instead we got a pantomime… believe it’s real, you’re only fooling yourself
