Even you'd have to agree that it's a pretty pea heart type of way to go out?! :hey

Mate, better that people are asking 'how come you're retiring?' rather than 'why don't you retire?'.

He's going out on his terms and has nothing left to prove to himself so I don't think it's pea hearted to be thinking of your family.
He's given it his best and retires holding a world title, so best of luck to him.:good

Don't be daft, how has he given his best? I'm not a Mundine fan but whenever i see that picture i think good on him, only his 11th fight with no amateur fights and he goes to germany to fight the champ, it's a shame he fights cans these days but that picture reminds me of a true fighter. Also that guy lying on his back easily beat the pea-hearted stiff that ran away scared from boxing today, i think you miss that point.

Overall Mundine has fought the better opposition... At least Mundine can say he was in there against the best. Green should retire if his heart isn't in it anymore. Its a f*cking tough sport. But at the same time, you can't kid yourself that he has nothing left. Certainly not the case.

What are you on about. Winning a title from a guy who didnt fight back doesnt prove anything. If you think he's have proven to be a world champ then the Drews fight certainly isnt the evidence.

The way you've been speaking in this thread you are implying he is highly likely to lose his title to Garay and so is best retiring on top...

Yep, that's it champ, you've worked me out.
Mundine didn't fight back in the picture above did he?
I mentioned Garay countless times in this thread. Thanks for helping me say what I just couldn't put into words correctly about the Green and Garay fight.:good

Problem for me is that the fight was so close. win, lose or draw, get in the ring one last time, and hold your head high knowing you gave it one last shot. IMO you dont pull out from a commitment like that under those circumstances.

Great work with the sarcasm there JD. :thumbsup

Firstly i dont give a **** about Mundine right now. Hes fighting bums and until he fights someone with a pulse i dont care what he does or where he is.

You don'e need to have mentioned Garays name to imply what I sad...

    :yikes

After a fight with Garay he can still easily retire "holding a world title". unless of course....

Actually the Drews/Green fight reminded me a lot of Kessler/Mundine. Neither Drews nor Mundine wanted to be in the ring on those nights.

Shares in Woodstock Boubons have plummeted since news filtered through of Rover`s retirement..............can boxing in Australia recover from this announcement by Rover,it has left a huge void in Aussie Boxing which may take years possibly decades to rebound from.

A few points about Rover`s career, actually speaking of a few points thats all Rover`s scorecard had when he fought Mundine.Well we can call it a fight but more like comedy hour, not sure if Rover was trying to impersonate a clown, drunk, chicken or a combo of all 3.

You really showed him there (again) with that.
I hope that you're aware that Danny Green is going to be absolutely shattered when he reads this stuff you're writing about him! Hopefully you don't live in Perth as he may come looking for you? The last thing anyone wants is to have johnjourno bagging them out. :vonnecunt

PS - Just between me and you - what's a BOUBON?
