    Probably quite an overinflated reputation. They tried to paint Harry Greb that way, too. Fight reports describe him as a very skilled, left hand oriented out-boxer and highly adept at using uppercuts on the inside.The footage available seems to back it up. He wasn’t noted for being dirty until the opponent struck first.

    Well, Armstrong was dirty in every round of every fight available, so I’m gonna chalk it up to sour grapes on his part.

    There are also interviews I've read where he said he wasnt a dirty fighter. He also stated it was Armstrong that initiated the rough stuff so he gave what he got in return
