Froch: "Abraham an obstinate midget!"

I dont think AA will start slow or use his turtle shell too much this fight. He wants to prove himself after his first loss. All out war. Pick-em fight.

 

so this fight has been moved to Finland now.

I can maybe make this now, seeing as I have some contacts in Finland, plus Helskini is a nice place.

 

Love it, Froch is funny as **** dry sense of humour, not like Ricky's rehearsed stand-up and Haye's offensive, childish crap

 

the more trash froch talks the more he's gonna look an arse after abraham puts him on ***** street.

this will be just like the froch/kessler fight, froch not doing enough, getting desperate late but this time he'll get stopped, mccracken might wanna have a practice of throwing the towel in for this one.

 

Sometimes, just sometimes, I find Froch really annoying. I like his attitude but he's looked shocking in every fight since he stepped up to world level. Falling behind to Pascal in the early going, losing to Taylor on the scorecards prior to pulling out the knockout, looking seriously amateur and with poor footwork against Dirrell, then losing to Kessler very clearly (whatever way people want to spin it) despite Kessler having problems with his vision.

All that cockiness is great, except that he hasn't backed it up yet.

 

I think Froch has proven that he belongs amongst the elite at 168. Although a relative unknown at the time of the fight with Froch, Dirrell is tricky and evasive enough to make near enough anyone look bad, IMHO. Kessler was also regarded as the best in the division once JC had left a few years ago as well, so I think a close fight with him is also no mean accomplishment. I honestly think if Froch wouldn't have been so hesitant and respectful in the fight towards Kessler, he would have gone on to win. I also think he deserves tremendous credit for his win over Taylor given the circumstances at the time.

Of course if you were going to design a fighter from scratch you'd never envisage Froch, but he is quite effective given how one-dimensional he looks; Pascal said as much in this week's Boxing News. He's undoubtedly found out what works for him and credit should be given to him for making it where he has in the sport, IMO.

Froch is always entertaining in interviews and I do find him genuinely funny. Personally, I think he always has his tongue firmly in-cheek when he comes out with comments like this. We'll (bit of a generalisation there, I know) miss him when he's gone, I'm sure.

I don't mean he deserves no credit, particularly for the Taylor fight, but he always looks sloppy. It's hard buying into his "I'm the best at 168" when he struggles so mightily at times.

I do think he's better than he appears and he has a strange way of dragging guys into his fight. He's got some skills, but he fights like a caveman.

I think that is why I like Froch so much, technically you feel he will always get beat but nearly always finds a way to win.

 

Eloquently put :good Froch deserves some respect for his achievements. Buncey had Froch's hat trick of Pascal, Taylor and Dirrell as one of the best by a British fighter. A commendable accomplishment for sure.

Froch cracks me up and I think he has Abraham well-pegged, not that it really matters.
