Although you've been a star on these matters Bunny,I still find it strange that I was the only one who seemed to be defending Ward on that matter in a Bute-heavy thread,as I'm still finding it a bit hard to get my head around it.

:huh What did I say that's untrue? Did he not say he'd rather a third fight with Kessler, than fight someone like Andre Ward? Immediately before that he was talking about the different styles, and how Ward is a spoiler and messer.

What does one publication have to do with the other? Are you saying those are not his words? Because any publication can write word for word what a boxer says, and those words straight from the boxer should be taken as such, words straight from the boxer.

Also, these words straight from Froch are as of yesterday... Any article you want to point to where he's said since then he's changed his mind and wants Ward more?

You've been shown Froch's words stating he'd rather face Kessler.. Not sure why you choose to believe otherwise.

 

I actually haven't been shown anything,but if you 're saying he said that yesterday in an article,then I have no reason to disbelieve you,but the publications do matter IMO, as BN came out yesterday,and the quote was from the editor's column which is usually the most relevant issue of the day/week.

I choose to believe the editor who says Froch says Ward is his preferred fight.I think he'd look a bit ridiculous printing that for a Thursday release knowing Froch would allegedly say something completely different,and he has a good relationship with Carl.

Ok but in your previous post you said something about what Froch said Sunday night.. Could he not change his position since then?

How would he know Froch would say something different? If that's what Froch told him, I can't blame him for writing it.. I'm just saying there IS the possibility of him changing his mind and saying he'd rather Kessler than Ward, as it appears he's done.

He wants to fight Kessler again because it'll mean vastly more money for him than if he fight Wardttke. Besides, everyone knows Wardttke will never fight Froch in England. he just wants to fight in his own country.

 

And you could well be right Divi, and you're putting your point across in a balanced non argumentative way, but that is slightly in contrast to the original post you were quoting where you had the yep emoticon at the suggestion that Froch was a bullshitter,in a pretty insidious post.(not yours)
