You mentioned football, hence ma reply.

Man on man au natural ? Do we ban multi-vits ?

    Serious question.

Will we be tested for ONLY NATURAL WEALTH OF BEING ?

Look at this way, if a man can inject himself multi times and be numbed to ****, eventually he will become unstuck.

If they dont know this...........unlucky for them.

I was referring to numbed shins or of course thighs etc, eg. no feeling of pain.

No pain = can continue to play at a possible optimum performance, simply.

Apologies if ma tangent is way of course.

I thought Froch didn't believe in doctors or any type of medicine?

I think fighters should be tested for paracetemol. This would numb pain thus giving them an unfair advantage.

One is a synthetic chemical which alters the functioning of the human body in respect of metabolism, catabolism, muscle building etc. The other is a pain releiver. It provices no enhancement, as such. Ditto for anti inflamatorries.

Cortisone injections don't stop you getting injured, they are an aid to recovery...you wouldn't use it preemptively, that would make absolutely no sense. Also, I can't think of one good reason why a fighter would want to "numb" his hands, thats a sure fire way to end your career prematurely

I really don't see the problem in injecting an anaesthetic to overcome an injury. This is totally different to PEDs as they artificially enhance your speed, power, endurance beyond what your body could ever do on its own. A pain killing injection on an injured hand on one occaision does not mean you will punch harder than you would without the injury so I don't see the issue here. Does this mean that if a fighter twisted his ankle in training he shouldn't wear an ankle support for the fight? It's a ridiculous argument

Hands are the mains tools of a boxer, pain is the name of the game, can't compare this to footballers taking pain injections, their job isn't to inflict physical damage with their hands or feet or any other body part.

So why don't boxers take cortisone shots between rounds to reduce swelling?

It makes sense to me, it's a pretty basic argument.

A footballer, athlete and boxer would take cortisone for precisely the same reason, to reduce swelling. A boxer might have it for his hand (tool of trade) and an athlete or footballer may have it for knee or foot (tools of trade) injury. It helps them recover, it is precisely the same.
