I have read such a statement about this upcoming fight many times. A fighter school in the EE amateur system & moulded by an American. A fighter who hadn't really had the wars (Kessler, Pascal, Taylor, Westerman etc) Froch had had.. I mean really?! I don't remember Froch sparring with the likes of Usyk to prepare either! I also remember Ward being a little bit quicker back then than today. I don't see the comparisons really. Kovalev is Vitali with Lomachenko athleticism. Froch is great no doubt but he's essentially a white Pascal. Good luck to both I just hope both show up and it lives up to the hype.
