Honestly guys, i agree Froch has been poorly promoted this side of the pond, but he has been in with the best of his division, had fantastic fights.........give me that over the trash Sky/FW/HM, promotions put on any day. All real boxing fans know how good he is and what he's achieved in boxing terms, i really couldn't care less if the general public know who he is or not, i just want to see great fights, not great spectacles put on for the masses.
I understand but its no good for Carl if he isnt getting the recognition, accolades and money that he clearly deserves. He has done more, is more exciting and should be getting paid more than David Haye and Amir Khan and yet we all know that is not the case!
I agree he should be paid much more than Haye & Khan, but just think for a minute if he was with there respective promoters there's no way he's resume would be anywhere near as good and deep as it is now. I know where your coming from, but it's really a catch 22 situation now in boxing, just look at Haye for instance, boxing fans loved him as a relative unknown at cruiser weight taking on all comers, then seemingly over night after massive hype etc. he decides to become a business man and fight bums and circus clowns.....
I suspect that Froch actually has split from Hennessey. In the Froch story over at boxrec news, Froch just says that he and Rob McCracken are trying to work out a venue with Showtime.
Now you mention it Froch didn't mention Hennessey even once during the whole interview. It's a travesty that such a crowd pleasing and highly successful boxer like Froch is almost unknown outside boxing fans. The reason for that lies squarely at Hennessey's door
You'd think that the eay he's talking he's managing his own career now but I'm pretty sure that in the past, for example on the location of the Abraham fight and the ash cloud etc Froch has done this. He's under contract with Showtime and presumably the money for the Super 6 was already sorted, I;m just glad that good or bad promoter he's been involved in such a series of amazing top-level fights
