Up until tonight the common opponent that Bute and Froch share is a guy called Tatevosyan who went 12 with Bute and was blown away by Froch in a couple of rounds. I think Bute just wants to use Magee to show that he is better than Froch by taking him out quicker and this could be part of a setup for a Froch Bute showdown both of which I signed to Showtime.

    makes sense

I have to say though even though Bute didn't knock out Tatevosyan he did win every round.

My feeling is that if Frich loses to Andre Ward in the S6 final he will probably get an immediate shot at Bute.

Froch wanted to fight for the real world title being the WBC strap and did so when he fought a better and more dangerous fighter in Pascal.

They Froch/Magee fought over 4 years ago so is hardly relevant now, considering Magee is still fighting at the same level he was back then, while Froch has gone on to do much bigger and better things.

It will be hilarious seeing all the Bute fans bring up this result after tonight like it means something.

If he loses the Super 6 then I think he's more likely to fight Pascal.

bute will learn nothing by fighting this poor level of opponents,he will only be less preperared and more exposed should he fight froch/ward/kessler/dirrell.

Same thing happened to Kessler when he fought Ward. His earlier opponents were just to crap and lured him in to a false sense of security.

Because I like boxing. :huh Which im guessing from your post count your don't :hey you only watch when your favorite fighter (Bute) is fighting which is typical for Butette's, I look forward to seeing your post about Bute Ko'ing Magee quicker than Froch, it will warm my cockles.

I'll never do that regardless of the outcome of the fight....and you don't have any idea how many fights I watched by the way. I prefer to read and think rather than post nonsense comments..
You are british and you like DeGale and maybe Froch (no problem at all with that from my part..)..Well i'm romanian....

He better do something. If Hopkins beats Pascal I have no doubt in my mind he will target Bute next. Nobody can resist the chance to stop the old man. Nobody seems to be able to do it though. Damn. Catch 22!
