Why do you think that for the 1st time in his career Carl Froch has decided to use a sports psychologist before the Groves rematch?

I hadn't heard that. Interesting. Was it Cus D'Amato that said boxing is something like 75% mental to 25% skill?

I think it was Professor I C Chins that said that mate:deal

Both fighters seemed rattled by it, Why for the 1st time is Froch wanting a psychologist, whilst Groves seems rattled that it will have a positive effect on Froch :huh

It's the same old Froch. Today he's been talking about 'hurting' groves. He's just hidden it better this time.

Froch believed this talk on ESB about his chin. Until he met the first puncher in his career he thought he is immortal. He's scared, he needs a psychologist to even find a way to the ring.

Groves by KO till round 4.

It's more than likely because he needs motivation to continue fighting at the top level where he's 37 years old, has a family now, had a good career, etc.

IMO, Froch could retire after this fight and I'd tip my hat to him. Left it all in the ring and took on all comers.

The way he stepped in for Ward to beat Bute was a sign that Froch, even being second seat to Ward after the tournament, was the motherfukking MAN in the division.:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

That's why Froch is seeing one, and there is nothing wrong with a sports person seeing one.

It's fairly obvious already that it has had a positive effect of Carl's mental wellbeing.
