You don't even understand his style, so why would I expect you to be able to explain it?

    I wouldn't.

But I'll make things simple for you.

Taylor is a physical fighter with great athletic and physical gifts, and a killer instinct, yet his fight plan has always been to use those tools to his success.

He did it with BHop, Winky, Ouma, Pavlik, and tried against Spinks and Froch.

But when Taylor faces a guy he can't bully, he's confused and has no answer except to occasionaly employ his killer instinct.

Froch made him tenative because of his counterpunching and underrated defense which makes it possible for him to counterpunch.

Taylor is a very amateur fighter with a lack of fundamentals.

Honestly, what the hell are you gonna tell me about skills?

    You don't know **** yourself.

Why don't you explain to me Taylor's style and why he does what he does, and why don't you explain Froch's as well.

    ****, you're the expert.

    I gotta see this ****.

Hold up here first. I never said Froch was a great fighter. I said he's better than Taylor. Honestly, that's not saying much since Taylor has killer instinct but he can't box for ****.

You sound like you give more than a **** about who froch is with how you are embleishing who he is. You don't talk gay **** yet you sound like a *** in love with Carl.

It's like you are trying to defend a person you are dating....and pump up who they are just b/c you are with them......When everyone is telling you she/he is ugly...you are tossing out BS and trying to pass it off as Facts. If the ***** is ugly, the ***** is ugly no matter how well you speak on her behalf. Just like with Froch.....he's not going to be a skilled fighter no matter how much you tell yourself that line of bull****.

You have no clue.. JT wasn't scare to throw..he threw more punches than Carl! JT just didn't get wild and didn't throw caution to the wind b/c Carl has power. And what the **** are you talking about "No Substance"? It sounds nice but really...what's the meaning?

Look...if you make a point I'll support it. I call a spade a spade my friend. But when you talk Bull **** I'm gonna let you know I smell ****.
JT looses b/c he lacks certain characteristics that MOST GREAT CHAMPS have! It's not his lack of skills...he's a stand out ameture with real skills. But GREAT CHAMPIONS have other qualities.....combined qualities like skills, heart, perseverance, ect. JT and Carl are working with what they have....They won't ever be on the level of a Prime Roy Jones, Nard, James Toney or Joe C. But they do have what is neccessary to be belt holders.

What's there to understand about Carl's style brah...it's basic. Nothing to understand. What you see is what you get. JT isn't the same fighter he was before he got KO'd by Kelly. Ever since his loss to Kelly he's been a more cautious fighter....less successful and mentally he's taken a hit and his overall game has been disrupted. Just like Wald....after his KO loss at the hands of Sanders and then Brewster he has never been quite the offenseive monster he was. It happens.....some poeple can't regain their previous form that was so great before a brutal loss like he suffered.

I've already explained it to you in previous posts. All you gotta do is do your homework and study up. It's there for your benefit. I already know my **** bro. Honestly it's not that hard to grasp.....it's all common sense to be honest. You're eyes don't lie when viewed through an unbiased lens.

Carl is a good fighter and a better "FIGHTER" than JT. But is he a better boxer? Hell no!

And Taylor doesn't have killer instincts...if he did PAV would have been old news and Froch wouldn't have made it out of the 3rd round.

THAT WOULDN'T BE A FACT U IDIOT..THATS UR OPINION...THE FACT IS JERMAIN WAS AHEAD ON SCORECARDS BUT WAS DROPPED IN THE LAST 15 SECONDS OF THE FIGHT (BEAUTIFUL WORK BY FROCH TO ADD) AND COULDN'T CONTINUE...TAYLOR WILL NEVER BE THE SAME FIGHTER HE WAS UP TO HIS FIGHT WITH PAVLIK..WHEN A FIGHTER GETS KNOCKED OUT AS BRUTALLY AS TAYLOR DID WHEN HE FOUGHT PAVLIK THEY ONLY COME BACK AROUND 3 OUTTA TEN TIMES I'D SAY TO BE THE SAME FIGHTER AND JERMAIN ISN'T THE BETTER PART OF THAT PERCENTAGE IMO....:deal

    Man...ya'll are dense, but I understand......well actually I don't.

Taylor is a man who uses his physical strength to dictate a fight. When he can't do that, he loses.

    It's that simple.

Expect him to lose more often in the 168 division. The man cannot box.

    That **** is a myth.

And Froch, he ain't much either, but for as little athleticism and absolutely no rhythmm that Froch has and doesn't have, the mother ****er can box better than Taylor which is why his counterpunching had Taylor scared to commit to ****.

I mean, Taylor had Froch knocked down and out on his feet, and hesitated so much after that for a minute I thought he was throwing the fight. I couldn't believe it.

But then closer observation showed that the way Froch was fighting, his counterpunching was making Taylor extremelly tenative, as Taylor couldn't just go in there and impose his physical will as he is used to doing.

    But yeah, he can box.

I think some of ya'll just don't like the man, which believe it or not shows that ya'll have gay tendencies.

Who gives a **** about Froch or Taylor when you're trying to break down a fight.

For future reference, when ya'll enter my thread, check the gay **** at the door.

That's because you probably don't understand it.

Which is fine, but don't come on here talkin **** if you don't get it.

What does Taylor do that makes him a good boxer in your eyes?

Counterpunch? Give me an example cuz I've never seen it.

Dictate a fight without using his physical strenght? When?

The mother ****er is all athleticism, no substance. That's why he's clueless when he's against the ropes.

I think most people don't see it because they don't get boxing.

For instance, when your opponent backs you up against the ropes, the last thing you wanna do is square up and put your hands up and let them bang away.

To me, that's not boxing. To ya'll......I guess it is. But that looks like some street fight **** to me.

Taylor ain't nothin but a street fighter with a jab.

look man, i wasn't trying to offend you but lets be real, Froch has next to no skills

his jab stinks, he keeps his left hand low and brings his jab up, which would be a problem if he had fast hands or enough reflexes to sleeps jabs or the counterpunching ability to counter with an incoming cross with an uppercut, but he does, all you get is a slow as jab that rarely hits it's target, which is why Taylor controlled the pace as long as his stamina allowed him to

jab aside, besides the fact that he very rarely throws straight punches, he has the most telegraphed uppercut in possibly all of boxing, it sure does pack a punch, but when you're swinging it the way he is theres no reason for it not to, which is why he was getting caught with counters so easily

and it's not just even is lack off punching technique it's his total disregard for any kind of defense other then his tough beard which he uses to block punches with his face, he has zero head movement, little footwork and can't pick off punches to save his life, which makes it all worse when you're carrying your left hand so low

    ............

now Taylor's boxing ability is overated as well, which is why i picked Froch to stop him, but he is still far more skilled then Froch has proven to be, he has a very good jab when he's not winding it up (which is the 1 thing he suprised me with in the Froch fight, the fact that he corrected that bad habbit), he's also a terrefic combination puncher and he's far better at slipping jabs and picking of shots with his gloves then Froch is, which is why Carl couldn't really land at any kind of regularity while Taylor still had gas in the tank

i mean ****, i really dont even know were to begin and were to end, Taylor absolutely schooled him the 1st half of the fight, and you think Froch is more skilled?, even though Taylor made him look like an Amaeture? and another thing, how can you say all Taylor has is athletecism when thats one of the things, no, scratch that THE thing he's lacking the most, athleticism and stamina go hand in hand, and Taylor's stamina is horrible....Froch is in no shape or form the more skilled of the 2

now don't get me wrong, i like Froch, and i was one of the few Americans rooting for him, and i've also never liked Taylor, but you're out of your mind if you think Froch is more skilled then Taylor is, no offense, but......****, lets be real here

    The thing is this though.

Froch is the guy on the dance floor that everyone thinks had to much to drink, but it's really just him. He doesn't have rhythmm.

So a guy like Taylor can use his athleticsm and mainly his speed to take advantage of Froch's lack of athleticsm and inability to get away from the only meaningful punch that Taylor was throwing which was the bow and arrow right hand.

Froch's style is one that is used to slip right hands, but due to Froch needing serious refining of the style and due to his lack of athleticism and rhythmm, and Taylor's own very superior athletic ability, Taylor was able to land those punches; however, due to Froch's recooperative powers and his style, he was able to counterpunch Taylor the majority of times that Taylor tried to reach in, which because Taylor doesn't know **** about boxing, is all that he tried to do.

Yeah, Taylor has a sharp jab, but he doesn't even know what to do with it. He doesn't really use it to set anything up except for his right hand, but Froch was able to take away Taylor's jab most of the time with his defense and Taylor looked like a lost puppy.

The thing is, Froch is very slow and because of this, occasionaly you'll see one of those bow and arrow right hands land and Taylor will look like he's on fire, but next thing you Taylor is standing back lookin like a lost puppy again lookin like he don't have any idea what to do.

Taylor is a very good athlete, but that's it.

Taylor has ALWAYS had a low boxing IQ and is notoriously **** at finishing off opponents, or even putting his foot on the gas to pressure them severely.

Stop attributing these things to Froch, he had no part in those whatsoever. They were/are Taylors undoing and innate to him, they weren't anything to do with Froch's fabled counterpunching ability.
