Even though Taylor knocked him down, and was obviously much more athletic and a former champion? So, what you're saying is, that 8 lbs makes such a difference that Taylor's supposed skill level couldn't overcome the size difference? So basically boxing breaks down in your eyes to who has the size advantage? **** it that Taylor is faster, arguably harder hitting, and according to you more skilled.... Guess none of that **** matters. It just comes down to size, right?
But can't most fighters build up a lead by throwing more punches than their lungs can handle? Couldn't Froch have matched him in the cards if he worked harder in the first 6 rounds, saving very little for the end? Is ring intelligence not considered a skill?
Froch has no rhythmm, but he's not as crude as people think. His style has certain implications that make it difficult for his opponents. If he were straight up and down he wouldn't have a diffrentiater other than his power and his chin that would seperate him from opponents. There are too many guys out there that have power and chins, especially at supermiddleweight.
Well, I could go into more detail in explaining why, but nobody has given me any reason why Taylor is more skilled rather than just saying he is. So why should I share my thoughts with people that are blinded by their own bias thoughts of what "should" be but clearly isn't. Besides, honestly I like to keep some information for myself.
You can sit here and ignore the facts all you want to....but the fact still remains is that Taylor is way more skilled in Froch in every department.. P.S I seriously dont give a **** what you bitchass thinks about me...I'm not the one who's making dumb threads on a daily basis and getting my ass handed to me like yourself! And what the **** does Mayweather have to do with this topic capsfund???...You simple minded *****!:good Go back and pull up a link because there is no way on God's green earth I'm taking your word for it....Back you claims with facts instead of know nothing opinion...You piece of ****!:hi:
I dunno, I think I have to disagree there; he seems very limited and one dimensional in pretty much every catagory.
Taylor is clearly more skilled then Froch, However he is also a fruntrunner like Judah while Froch is bigger, stronger, tougher and he has more stamina, just because someone is more skilled doesn't mean they're the better fighter. For example I would say Judah and Cotto are more skilled than Baldomir and Margarito, I would also say Moorer is more skilled than Foreman but Big George is the better fighter. Skill while important does not override all aspects, There are intangibles such as Power, toughness, stamina etc that must be taken into account.
There is always a flip side to it...If Taylor was a better finisher we wouldnt having debate now would we? Like I've said before Froch deserves his props for staying determined...I mean Taylor was getting the better of the exchanges throughout the fight...That part was obvious..You can sit here and try to play that approach all you want but the film doesnt lie my friend....Froch had heart and he showed that....Taylor just didnt have the heart to go out on his feet. And to answer your question ring generalship is a skill but from my understanding on the meaning is that you dictate the pace and have the other fighter fighting your fight..thats something Froch didnt do until Taylor faded.
Please though, people like Rudyard especially......tell me WHY Taylor is more skilled. I mean......nobody's hit that yet. What about Taylor is more skilled than Froch? For instance, can anybody explain to me why Taylor didn't continue to attack Froch after Froch hit the deck in the second round?
See, you're making an assumption when you believe that Taylor "faded" even though there was not much sign of this as he continued to fight until the end of the 12th where his lack of skill and know how of what to do against the ropes caused him to get beat. I can actually see what I'm talking about and don't have to speculate about it. The problem for you is, I'm not going to tell you. I'm just going to leave it up to you to guess why seeing as you have no idea.
Most of the fighters Rocky Marciano beat were much larger fighters. With that logic, should he have been beat by all of them? Skill is something that should overcome size. It's less likely today than it was in the past, but that's due to fighters not being able to box.
They're referring to the precision of his punches, the accuracy and speed of his jab and his ability to control the pace of a fight, which he did, until the late rounds when he got caught and panicked.
