I would argue a nightmare is someone who your style will have no success against e.g. Saunders vs Lemieux, Fury vs Wlad, Lomanchenko vs Sosa etc. If its a close fight and both were, how can he be a nightmare? If anything there close to being evenly matched with Wards discipline and dog giving him the edge.

Loma and Saunders being a nightmare for Sosa and Lemieux is because the first two are A+ level boxers taking on C+ level guys, neither Wlad nor Fury looked great in that match, Fury had a slight speed and reach edge allowing him to barely edge most rounds, like 7 punches to 5, not an utter nightmare either, but if you consider him one, then you should probably consider Kovalev a nightmare for Ward as well.

Since I scored several of the latter 50/50 go either way rounds for Kovalev, I don't agree with your assessment, Ward and Kovalev fought on even terms in the second half, just because Ward did better, that clouded most fans judgment as well. Ward had to play every advantage and mind game on planet earth to get to Kovalev in the rematch, just to get a mental edge, but I will agree, Duva should have put up A LOT more of a fight than she did.

What on earth are you talking about Valerie?

Have you been watching interracial porn again?

    I don't care about Ward. I should, cos I'm a bit Irish but I don't ;)

Fair enough, some people see what they want to see. Duva was way too overconfident. You can have confidence, but still take care of your fighter, by making sure everything is neutral. Locations, judges, Ref etc.

Kovalev controlled distance well (one of the best in the world, at least before he fought Ward) , how far did that get him. You guys act as if Ward has a distinct and specific style of fighting. The man taylors his fighting style according to his opponent intangibles. I've seen this Gvozdyke guy and from what I've seen nothing besides his length stands out. He's technically well schooled like a lot of the Eastern Euro guys but none of his intangibles makes you go like wow. To beat Ward, you need more than technicality. You need awkwardness and old school like craftiness. At least with Kovalev, dynamite like punching Power along with piston like jab was a detail that Ward could not neglect. This Gvozdyk guy brings none of that. From what I saw against his fight with Criag Baker, Gvozdyk will get picked apart and possible stopped by Ward. Yes I said STOPPED. Gvozdyk I suspect is hiding a fragile mandible.

Will? No he won't. He retired. Ward is past tense. Fantasy fighting him won't make it happen you know?! Bivol is the future.

Yeah your right for the first two there is a difference in talent but Fury vs Wlad was a schooling for me. It was a nightmare for Wlad he was completely gun shy because he was scared of getting countered. Kovalev and Ward was a close fight between two world class opponent. I got Kovalev beating Gvozdyk if they fight.
