Froch believes Bivol is part of the reason Ward retired

Stevenson Huh? You talking about the guy that has yet to fight his mandatory going on 3 years now. How many times have Stevenson paid Alvarez step aside money?

Like I told another poster. Get any of those guys promoters to put at least 5 mil on the table and I will get Ward to out of retirement. But if it makes you feel good to think that Ward retired because he was afraid of them, go ahead and think that.

 

No amount of money would entice Ward

If those fighters I mentioned didn't exist and the likes of Paul Smith, Cloud, fonfara and Badou Jack were the top dogs in his weight class, you can be sure Ward would still be competing right now.

 

Yup it's a wierd situation that no one truly understands, boxing politics. But three things are certain.

1. When Bernard Hopkins wanted a shot at the LHWT title, he had a choice between S. And K, and chose K.

2. Whan Ward moved up and wanted a shot at the LHWT title, he had a choice between S. and K. and chose K.

3. Al Haymon organized a purse bid between S. and K. and K's manager refused to play along and pulled him out, then did it again.

Those three are historic fact. Everything else about Alvarez and the rest is sort of murky. And I'm not even some huge fan of Stevenson.

 

That's hilarious. The likes of Jack and Fonfara bring more money than the guys you think Ward is afraid of. The kind of money those guys bring to the table ain't worth the training camp let alone a fight.

 

So you think the likes of Cloud bring more revenue than the likes of GGG, who Ward is on record saying he wants nothing to do with?

I think you need to accept that Ward took the coward's way out.

 

Cloud is retired, I don't know why you're bringing him up. Stop reaching
