I see. So let's get this straight. The man who last six fights have been a win v Pascal, a win v Taylor in the USA,a win v Dirrell, a loss to Kessler in Denmark, a win v Abraham in Finland and a win v Johnson in the USA, is worried about fighting someone who has no top names on his resume and seems extremely unwilling to fight anyone on THEIR home ground. A fighter whom Showtime chief executive said in Boxing News that they didn't offer him an invite to the S6 because they doubted his commitment to take tough fights, some of which would be away from home.

    I. Don't. Think. So

I totaly agree that a fight with Kessler, Froch or Ward should be made away or on neutral ground UNLESS the opponent decides it's in his best financial interest to fight in Canada.
Can you name me one Bute opponent, since he is the IBF champion, that preferred not to fight in Canada and could have made a bigger purse anywhere else?
If Froch, Kessler or Ward decide to come in Canada to fight Bute I will definitely not bash Bute and his team for this. If Bute refuses to go outside Canada for a fight with them I'll be the first to point the finger.

Could you please tell me why, if Froch's resumee is so much better than Ward's (really, no sarcasm) the betting houses have Ward as a big favorite and Forch as an underdog? I mean Froch fought Pascal, Taylor, Kessler, Abraham, Johnson while Ward fought only Kessler. Call this a bad business. Stupid odd-makers. They don't give a **** about Foch's record and courage.
If you disagree with the bet-makers we could make a 2.0 bet on real money. I put my money on Ward and I put my money on the fact that if Bute ever meets Froch he will be a favorite at the top 3 betting houses. Want to make a bet for this one too?

Esco, i searched for it, i only found gossip. "Some people who certainly know say..." just wont do it as this level. It's amateurish to say the list (media wise).

I didnt honestly think Johnson would trouble Bute too much but never expected to be shut down like that. It speaks volumes about what level Bute is curently on imo.

About Kessler, i dont know what to say, really. I respect him a lot but we'll have to wait for his fight to see just where he's at. Hope he's in good shape and ready to face the best again.

In my opinion, the next fight that needs to happen is Bute-Froch, regardless of the S6 final outcome. It would settle a lot of unanswered questions.

Supposing that statement is true.... now I totally understand why they got Ward in the tourney.

    I went to see this...

wow people on this forum are very stupid. They think that Bédard is saying that Froch is ducking Bute november 17th... NO, Bédard is commenting on a statement made by Froch a couple of days ago. He is just saying that Froch seems to want to duck Bute. Does it means that he does? No, it just means that since Bute is a very good guy, they decide to trash talk with Bédard. Froch is a proud warrior and they want him to commit on a future fight with Bute that's it.

Source on the Showtime bashing of Bute's will to fight? Please... :hey

You've got a lot of catching up to do if you still think Showtime sees Bute as a homer.

Interbox said recently they wanted to go the US with Bute to get the top fights, and that they would promote a fight themselves if nobody else is willing to do the job.

"Unwilling to fight away" - show me the money, *****... :think

Fwiw, when he said he wants to shut Froch's big mouth it was in a genuine jokingly fashion. No one took it as a threat, but obviously Froch started to get to him.

kinda hard for bute to leave canada, money wise is the best location with the level of competition he had.but if a fight against froch would be made i think he should go to uk and ktfo froch.problem is,when you fight in uk and you get slapped 2 times the referee stop the fight.so if he goes to uk there is a chance froch win with a tko calzaghe style.have you guys seen the fights from manchester last week? hilarious,it's like they had benny hill and mr.been as personal referees for the uk fighters.

Whatever your opinion of Froch or Bute, any suggestion of Froch being the type of fighter who ducks anyone is laughable. He never got recognition till he was well into his thirties so apart from the fact that he's an absolute warrior,he'll be keen to make as much money as possible while he can.If (and it's a big if IMO) he did knock back a fight with Bute,it would have been a purely monetary decision. In terms of resume,Bute needs Froch far more than Froch needs Bute.Just a pity you don't seem to be able to like both fighters here.I like Bute but still pick Froch to win.I'd like to know how Bute fans rate Pascal.
