Let's keep our fingers crossed. Credit to Bute if he takes the fight in Nottingham. I think Carl would beat him anywhere though

bute-froch is the correct matchup right now. especially without kessler.

    good on both fighters.

bute could stay in montreal defend his title against top 20 guys make a lot of money and retire. froch could do the same but they want the biggest fights that matter

bute is taking this in nott cos he thinks he can pretty soundly out box froch at distance

american networks want this because i- froch last performance ii- they are both white iii. showtime are being smart and trying to create a group that will consistently fight each other in big fighters. andre ward, kessler, abraham, bute, froch and now looks like dawson too

I wonder if ITV will get this one? they should, they know Froch gets good ratings for them now that he's fought three times on ITV now. Plus Hennessy has a deal with them too.
Who knows Tyson Fury could fight for his first title on the undercard, or maybe get McCall or some meaningful name for him in he's early career?
Why not Thaxton ve Murray as the second feature main event too? Sounds like a great night!

Kinda messed up that Showtime doesn't want Bute vs Andrade II.
Anyway Bute vs Froch........I can't wait.

Good! Froch vs Bute is a much better fight than Bute vs Andrade II imo. Two belt holders fighting and Froch fights are always exciting regardless of who he is fighting. The start of a unification of the whole division with any luck. It's good that Bute is willing to travel to make the fight aswell as Froch.

Regardless of where it is though I think Bute is one step too far for Froch. As much as I'd like Froch to win it, Bute is not a good style for him. I would expect Bute to outbox Froch to a clear UD. He'll have to make sure he is in tip top shape though or we'll see a Taylor situation all over again. It's almost happened to Bute once so I would expect that he has learnt from it.

    :good

I don't think Froch got the workrate and put the same pression as Andrade did so i pretty confident Bute will still have gas in th tank in the 12! if the fight go that far!

Agreed. But to ensure complete neutrality for both fighters they should have the fight in international waters, like the Tyson/secretariat fight.
