It'd be an interesting fight. Both are slow, thudding punchers with good chins. Froch is easier to hit that Brian Vera IMO. Chavez jr could end up bullying Froch for portions of what would be a close contest. If the fight was in USA/Mexico I could see Chavez taking a points win.

I am sorry, but I like to watch Chavez Jr fights. Its not sadistic, I just want to see how good his chin really is. Impressive fighter, will this be 175lbs?

Chavez jr entering the ring just a few lbs shy of 200lbs :?

I see Chavez KTFO Froch. Jr is much faster, as hard a head as Froch, and will outweigh him by 20-25 lbs. The weight alone will wear down Froch. I'd love to see it though.

    They shouldn't have.

Vera vs. Lee I happened four years earlier. Nobody should have been thinking Lee was invincible or that some heavy pressure from a big strong fella with a chin wouldn't spell trouble for him on any given night. Lee is talented but his major flaws were long ago exposed. No assumptions of being the 'real deal' should have been solely based on weathering Lee's offense and then breaking him down...since, to my recollection, nobody was calling Vera the 'real deal' back in 2008.

I couldn't agree more. People were saying the same kinds of things after his fight with Taylor, and that was more than 4 years ago.

Froch KTFO out of Groves inside 9

He knoecked Groves out this time and would knock him out quicker next time...Groves cant take it like Froch can.

Chavez Jr is a much better fight and i would much rather see that than a British Level rematcj with Groves

    Groves got KO'ed...get over it.

Froch would have trouble losing more than a couple rounds against JCC Jr.

Depends on which Jr shows up. Fat, lazy, Dorito-eating Chavez gets stopped.

Motivated Jr (a perhaps mythical creature) and you got a nice brawl.

    Froch should rematch Groves though...

Froch fighting a fat light middle?? Forr less money than he would get for a Groves rematch.

This would be a sad end for a fighter of Froch's calibre.

    Ward or Groves only.

Froch was losing that fight and was gifted a TKO against an opponent who was hurt but still on his feet and fighting back. Groves was robbed of the chance to prove how durable he could be and how good his recovery power was because the referee jumped in at the first moment Froch had enjoyed sustained success during the entire fight to end it.

Nobody should "get over it". That kind of **** devalues the whole sport. The referee made an awful mistake that ruined the fight and short-changed Groves, Froch, every single fan and boxing itself. Nobody should just accept it and move on. It was a disgrace.

Ward is pursuing Chavez much more than Froch, so it must be a good win if p4p 2 guy wants to fight him too.

Ward's got this issue of having no credible opposition. Becuase he's beaten the best Super Middleweights and the rest are clearly a level below him he's had to resort to looking to the Middleweights or the Light Heavyweights to find big name opposition to get him big fights.

Froch doesn't have that issue. He has two options within his weight that would be credible. He could, and should, rematch Groves and beat him properly or he could have a rubbermatch with Kessler if Kessler doesn't officially retire.

    :yep:deal

The boxing fans want to see more Froch vs GG II than a pointless Froch vs Kessler III fight.

Also I think Chavez Jr is reserved as the next fight for Ward. Ward is the smw champ, no 2 p4p , american and still young. HBO wants to build Ward into a boxing star and an impressive win over Chavez Jr would increase his image and popularity stocks pretty much IMO. :yep

Agree with this, the match would be closer than most people think. Some clowns here are talking as if Froch had Sugar Ray Leonard skills and could box circles around Jr or something. Hell no, Froch is a crude, no defense having brawler and would go toe to toe with Chavez and Jr has the better chin, so who knows what'd happen. However if Chavez appears in his lazy, fat, no stamina having self of his last fight he'll get slaughtered
