Credit where credit is due. If Froch does retire if and when Chavez fights falls through he wont get any stick from me. Winning at Wembley with a KO punch. Money in the bank and has created a legacy.

    Any thoughts.

Froch has earned the right do what he wants really. He could retire tomorrow as a British great. Chavez fight would be an exciting way to round off a career, big money fight in Vegas. James Degale poses too many risks, style wise as a fighter and also if Froch fails to get motivated for the fight.

I would like to see Froch one last time, however the man, love or loathe him is entitled to make any decision he pleases.

I'd live to see the degale fight but fair play to him if he calls it a day. Amazing career and one of the most determined fighters you will ever see.

I like Froch, and I think he’s nearing the end of his career, but he’s gotten subtly better since the S6, and is a guaranteed great fight each time. Jr., while I’m not in any sense a “fan” of his, I think has pretty good boxing skills, and a good chin. Also, Chavez has a certain “notoriety,” so to speak, that would really help this fight

  6. JCC got a world-class chin, solid (though not spectacular) power, decent hand speed, and a reasonably varied offensive attack, including some really good body work.

On the other hand, his cardio tends to be crap, Brandon Rios laughs at his foot speed, and Provodnikov laughs at his defensive skills.

Froch is a legit super middleweight with good power, good boxing skills, and solid movement. Froch will likely be the hardest puncher JCCJr has ever faced. If Froch has slowed down, or his chin is fading, JCCJr has a shot, but otherwise I think Froch beats the hell outta him.

im not Froch, the persons biggest fan. But Froch the fighter is without doubt one of the all time british greats.

Id have to agree with him on this one. If Hearn cant get him a big showdown in Vegas then whats the point of risking it against a no mark like Degale? It wouldnt even generate enough money to warrant the risk.

I think Hearn owes Froch a Vegas payday. Froch has helped propel boxing to the british public post Hatton days and he should be duly rewarded.

Clearly doesn't fancy fighting DeGale and wants an easy money making fight vs Chavez.

Complete joke of a fight and I wouldn't pay a penny to watch it.

I hope he retires and ****s off into oblivion.

think froch has a few fights left in him, he should look to fight ward at home imo, maybe at forests ground. There's other fights out there other than chavez. Adonis Stevenson at LHW could be an option, because he's definitely beatable.

I'm sure he said before if degale looks good in his fight on Nov 22 he may be interested in fighting him

    Stevenson vs Froch = Fireworks.

If I was Carl I'd get the Chavez fight on, face Degale and then have a retirement fight against Golovkin (his profile should be on cloud 9 by then).

Sky clearly fancy the DeGale fight over the Chavez fight because of the time difference. It's a lot easier to flog a PPV main event at 10pm than at 5am. I actually think that Froch beats DeGale quite easily if he stays disciplined.

Obviously Froch is at the stage where he can do want he likes, but everyone should be aware that he has to have Sky's backing to fight in Vegas which isn't appealing unless it's on normal Sky Sports.
