Exactly! Froch should have got the chance to carry it. He's clearly insecure about the lack of recognition his achievements and bravery get, and he certainly deserves more.

The man jogs through the city centre throwing jabs at midday, like he's Rocky Balboa. Sick in the head!

he only has himself to blame for not being well known, everyone else could see mick was making a complete shambles of his career accept carl. He's my favourite boxer but he was ******ed for stay with hennesey. My friends never ever brought his name up before he switched, now they know who he is but it's five years too late.

If Carl would have gone with Frank he would have ended up on the Calzaghe route and his last fight would have been against Paul Smith instead of Lucian Bute

Deep down he's real beef is with haye and he's finally exposed himself. From Day 1 his ammeter contemporary has had more exposure, more fame and he's tried his best to hide it and be a good friend to mister david haye but the pressure of living in his shadow has finally got to him. Froch and haye need to get in the ring and sort it out like men.

“When people retire, they should stay retired. I was in Jamaica with David for two weeks after he said he was retired. He’s made his money."

It is abit of a joke that Carl Froch, did not carry the Olympic torch.

Also like i stated many times before the supersixx was a complete and utter failure, it was promised to gain the sport more exposure! In the country's that really matter when it comes to the economic and market of boxing. But it completely and utterly failed, fair enough the tournament had the best fighters facing the best! But this does nothing for the sport, if it is poorly advertised and is not getting the mainstream media attention and promotion..... what's the point..?

I believe Carl Froch wasted his best years in that tournament. None of the fighters that went into that tounament are stars, none of them are household names in boxing.

Because the tournament fail on his key aim! Or at-least Fat Boy Mick could of at-least got sky to show all of Carl Froch's fights!

If the tournament was picked up by SKY, and promoted and coverage by such a substantial broadcaster! Carl Froch would be allot more of a household name.

But the fact of the matter is, all of Froch's efforts went unrecognised by the British public.

And also us boxing fans could not be assed with the supersixx. It was too long of a tournament, and just a ****ing waste of time.

exactly what i was going to say , it is a bit of a joke he never got to carry the torch, after all he is from the area and is a real World Champion, and has been in some great fights, and is a total warrior.

he should have got to carry the torch IMO

The slavish nut-huggery of Froch fans! The man has on numerous occasions displayed a fundamental lack of grace when it comes to other fighters and his own performances in past fights, whilst all the while exhibiting an exaggerated sense of self-worth (overcompensation!). We all know he has issues stemming from his being-totally-ignored-days under Fat mick, but does he still have to vomit up this dross?

But nut-hugging eunuchs, as ever, continue along the path of supplication: "He didn't say he had the most exciting fight but more exciting fights i.e. in number".

More covers degree as well as quantity. The grating thing is that we ALL KNOW what he meant by that. We all know bitter classlessness inherent in such comments; except for those of us who kneel instead of standing.
