Sorry to be pedantic, but all those 7 fights should take place in 2010, no?

Too bad for Dirrell...he has to face Abraham and Ward, while sitting at 0-1. Even if he does beat one of those two by decision, and Froch doesn't win another fight (all hypothetical, settle down folks), I believe Froch would advance by tie-breaker.

I.e. you think he would beat Dirrell in a face-off rematch, or you think he would go through on account of the fact that he's already beaten Dirrell - the guy he's level with?

I believe there is a head-to-head tie-breaker (advance is determined by result of past fight between two fighters) in place to determine who advances if points are even. I would have to double check though. In this particular case, I think a rematch would be fair. Just wishful thinking though.

I think Ward v Dirrell is an interesting match up, though I favor Ward to UD

Okay, so you've got them going 3-4. My original claim seems outrageous at first, but not so far-fetched once you start breaking it down.

Dirrell is going to beat Ward and Abraham

Froch is going to beat Kessler. Froch is too stupid to know how bad a fighter he is, and Kessler obviously has confidence issues and doesnt take losing well.

    Taylor may lose every fight.

I think Dirrell is a live dog against both Abraham and Ward and has a good chance to go 1-1.

Froch's chance likely depends on how declined Kessler actually is.

Taylor will never win another major fight, IMO. He should drop out and retire.

I don't think this tournament has a loser bracket. That means no fighter will go 0-7, or even 0-3 and stay in the tournament. Taylor is a sure shot to be elliminated, I predict the other will be Froch. Then the quarterfinals, semi's, and final...with Ward emerging as the victor.

The 0-7 is referring to the combined record of those three fighters in the fights left (if they were to all lose from here on out).
