Now, now. There is no doubt Dirrell fought a ***** fight....... but he did land better, pretty much throughout the fight.......at least when he wasn't holding and falling, complaining, etc......
And call it straight, Froch did some shitty things himself in that fight.......body slam, punches to the back of the head, etc.....he got no point deducted, so he got the break there..........
Dirrell probably would have won the fight, despite his tactics and antics, if Froch wasn't the hometown fighter.
As it was, it still went to a split decision.

Im a froch fan but it looked, to me, like Direll had stolen it.

Then again , y'know if you're going to man up and face a guy in his country ( as Direll did ) then you surely must know that backpedalling , pot shotting and holding aren't all that likely to carry the day regardless if you land more punches.

Direll is young tho and if learns from that it'll make him a better fighter,

How can people still be on this?! The fight was poor, neither man deserved to win. Froch was shown up to have the lack of actually boxing talent that a lot expected and dirrell was just too carefull of catching a big shot. He cant really blame anyone but himself as if he would have boxed more positively he had far too much speed and skill for Froch. The question is will he learn from it and come back in good fashion? If its a similar fight with AA hes gota lose a lot of respect tho!! And Frochs really gona get found out by Kessler i think. Which is a shame for me cus I like Froch warrior spirit and sense of humour but maybe im just in the minority.....

Nobody's really arguing the decision. This is actually one of the more sane threads on that fight.

Well, i know Dirrell was looking for one, and apparently Froch was willing as long as it didn't interfere with the tourney. Let's see what happens.

Very nice, but it wasn't all that insightful the 1st time around. The fact is, Froch didn't do much except keep coming forward and looking awkward doing so. And fact is, Dirrell gets ridiculed for his tactics in that fight. And despite all he did wrong, he still got a split decision in the other guy's backyard. So, stands to reason he did something someone liked or it wouldn't have been close, unless of course, you think Froch was robbed in this one?

After a 2nd time watching this fight I was a bit more pleased with Froch being the winner. From a judges point of view I could see how they gave more rounds to Froch. He came to fight and for most of the fight was the aggressor whether effective or not judges like that. The holding and complaining by Dirrell was a bit too excessive, did not look impressive nor pretty so that did not help him at all. Might not be fair but Dirrell had a great attitude about the loss and im sure will continue to improve

Funny thing is, I'm not even questioning the decision. I can see why Dirrell lost.
