Froch has always shown great Stamina.

But he has never had to come through the pace and adversity of the first 8 rounds of that fight.

He was knackered as well, which was clear to see.

To me Froch looked like he had neither the energy or co-ordination to finish groves at that stage. There is just as much chance he would have thrown a ton of punches chasing air round the ring and then been gassed the next round.

I remember thinking the same thing whilst watching Diego Corrales vs Luis Castillo!! Then bang 1 left hook and it was Diego getting the win!!

It's easy to say that the writing was on the wall during Froch vs Groves 1 but in boxing 1 punch either way can finish a bout and Groves was the one who done the most damage to Froch in the fight and if he connected just one more decent right then Carl could have been the one getting stopped!

I just can't wait till the rematch and hopefully we get a proper ending with a clear winner so they can both look to further their careers!!

But it could well end up a close points decision for Groves and then there will be a Trilogy to finish off!! Maybe the British version of Barrera vs Morrales !!

I think this is very likely as this would be the biggest money fight in the division and money usually wins out!!!

wrong, as we're not discussing absolutes as with rjj. despite struggling after the kd, froch was coming on strong while gg faded, he's even admitted it himself now. sure the stoppage was premature, but i reckon inevitable.

the reason we've nothing to discuss is you focusing on an aside, while conveniently sidestepping the thrust of my post, which disproves yours.

What in your post disproves mine?

The fact the refferee awarded the win to Froch?

In that case Fury's win in the first McDermott fight was awesome!!!

Watched Froch from an amateur ?

Then please tell me in which fight did you seen Froch chasing air, and gassing ?

Froch has faced adversity in numerous fights (go and rewatch them), he's been tagged, dropped, and outboxed, on more than one occasion. Only a fcukin idiot would class Abraham as a technical wizard, but lots of knowledgable posters and boxing journo's gave Froch no chance against Abraham, its easy in hindsight to say Abraham was overrated. Abrahams turtle shell defence, granite chin and heavy hands negated his technical shortcomings. Ward was being out jabbed by Abraham in the early rounds, and Dirrell took a dive when he realised Abraham was coming on strong.

The thing is, Frochs tank has never run dry on him in any fight, even after eating shots and being mauled by Ward for 10 rounds, Froch was still pressing the action in the last 2 rounds. Against Taylor he was dropped early, rattled by big shots, and ouboxed for 6 rounds. As soon as Taylors workrate dropped, Froch started prodding Taylor with the jab then cracking him with right hands.

Froch has beaten better technical boxers than Groves, he's beaten faster boxers than Groves, and he's beaten heavier punchers than Groves. Technical ability and text book skills don't always beat toughness, durability, and experience.

Froch doesn't have concussive one punch power, but he's one of the best finishers in the game, Foster robbed froch of a legitimate stoppage imo.

Froch doesn't have to do anything differently to beat Groves, do you think Froch will get dropped and hurt in the 1st round ? spend 6 or 7 rounds trying to recover ?
Groves had everything going his way, and shot his load in the first fight, what will he do differently next time ? If he's too passive trying to save energy, he may just get steam rollered, or Froch may even win rounds. If he's too aggressive he'll gas again.

Your opinion of Froch is as transparent as glass. Why didn't you just admit that the thought of him beating Groves in the rematch is keeping you awake at night.

Who would have thought looking at Corrales that he would have had a decent left hook in him? Corrales was in a much worse place than Groves was!! That is the reason the rematch had to happen. Nobody can prove one way or the other what would have happened if the ref hadn't stopped the fight prematurely.

I really hearing all this 'writing on the wall stuff' it can't be proved so why use that as a defence?
