@TWO SHAKES, above is Glenn's reply to someone advising him to confront Lee at the weigh-in.

he said himself he needed to work on stamina! you gonna deny that too?

it's hard for you to envisage anything else, but you're pretending froch had zero success until the 9th.

and gassing by the end. my point is to those claiming he chose to get drawn into a tear up, when he was too knackered to keep froch at bay.

Boxers say a lot of things. Does Groves saying he needs to work on his stamina equate to him admitting he was going to lose the fight? Of course not. Groves has stated over and over again he was fine to continue and was robbed of the world title that night.

I don't deny Froch had some measure of success as I scored 2 rounds for him, he just didnt do enough to convince me he can win a rematch

Groves was blowing, I don't think anyone is denying that.

But there is nothing to suggest he wouldn't have got a second wind and nothing to suggest that Froch wasn't as knackered as he was.

I said to many as I walked away from the venue that it wasn't totally one sided as some did make out. However George had given Carl a shelacking and there can be no denying that.

it was all sorted out at the time, Lee Froch & Glenn Mcrory have known each other for a good while and there is no problems. Its yet another non story around this fight.

In their own different ways both the lads were brilliant in the first fight and let's be honest nobody knows what's going to happen in the second.....bloody brilliant:happy

i prefer to deal in probabilities. we can't rule out a 2nd wind, but they're the exception, not the rule. we can't rule out froch being equally knackered, but we know his stamina is elite. gg was getting the better of it, but against a man shaking off the effects of a kd he couldn't repeat. i don't know how many times i have to state i wouldn't've stopped it, but gg was gassing and getting caught more and has as good as admitted it.

nobody has answered questions i've been asking since the fight. if his stamina is fine, explain gg's condition at the end of the 2nd, and if he knows he can drop froch at will, why did he choose not to?

i'm not saying gg can't win, i leave that to the remedials to say about froch, i just don't see it.

They both looked equally tired to me but both of them being tired plays in Froch's favour.

I didn't notice anything wrong with Groves at the end of the 2nd, he did well in the 3rd, 4th, 5th etc and he's gone 12 rounds before. He may not have the greatest stamina in the world but it doesn't appear to be a problem although Froch probably does have better stamina.

As long as Groves keeps the middle of the ring he will control the fight, Froch cannot fight well on the backfoot, its when boxers stay on the ropes Froch is able to unload. Fast, mobile fighters have always given Froch problems.

i was surprised at how heavily he was breathing so early in the fight. and if his stamina means he can't defend against so leaden an opponent as froch (apparently), that's a problem, no?

We'll see. We don't know if Groves would have been able to regroup, weather the storm, come back stronger etc. I'd be more worried about Groves' punch resistance than his stamina tbh.

we don't know, but that's not the likeliest scenario. i still favour froch because although they're both good at administering punishment, froch can absorb more of it.
