Froch even exceeded my expectations against Bute! What a tremendous performance!

    just watched it again,****ing buzzing.

yesterday bute was a future ATG to a lot on here and froch was just a stepping stone, opposition, now bute is just opposition.
im glad i can gloat in the fact that i,like some, didnt see anything special in bute, just a decent boxer with a dig,i didnt see a slick smooth boxer in any of his fights(well the 3 of 4 ive seen him in).

someone pointed out in another thread that i obviously haven't watched many of butes fights and i don't have a clue what im on about, well son, suck on this big boy :****

That was incredible it's difficult to explain just what the atmosphere was like in the arena when Froch came out with his music going it was absolutely electric, it's difficult to imagine ANYTHING topping that.

A lot of it was down to Bute fighting completely the wrong fight. Froch has always look good against guys who come forward and are easy to hit. combine this with Bute's lack of punch resistance and it was a recipe for disaster. Froch likes to claim how he loves a "tear up" and his opponents to "fight like men". Funny how against Abraham he fought a disciplined safety first approach, using his jab and physical advantages to keep Abraham at bay. Bute fell for the BS and tried to be MR Macho and paid the price.

Froch is an absolute credit to British boxing and the sport in general, his quality resume is nearly unheard of in an era of overprotective promoters either looking to keep a belt hostage or trying to setup fighters for quick paydays. I got this fight badly wrong and if Carl reads this (yeh i know i doubt he will) i cannot apologise more for underestimating your shear class and grit.

I thought Bute would win comfortably. Froch I expected to walk forward pressing the action and getting punished for it, but he used intelligence and experience. Everything Rob McCracken had hinted at him doing he carried it out.

One of the great British performances and the fact it was such a devastating win raises it up there and possibly above any in the modern era.

    He ripped Bute's heart out.

If he avenges his loss to Kessler next on home soil, then maybe Andre Ward will be asked to cross the pond and prove himself away from home and in The Cobra's backyard.

Carl has just been on TV stating he hasn't slept all night and wants Kessler and Ward again! :D
