Froch lost because he lost his discipline and abandoned the jab which was working for him early on. He didn't listen to his trainer and paid for it. He seems to listen now, use the jab and throw punches in combinations. It will be too much for Kessler. I think Froch can break him down and stop him late in a rematch.
I think Kessler takes it again.. Better workrate and more skilled, yeah he is clearly on the slide, but I still think he has what it takes to beat a guy like Froch.. The first match was close but clear..
Kesslers time is gone.. Froch is at his best... But still... Its not gonna be a walkover for Froch.. Kessler kan still catch and KO Froch. But.. yea.. Froch should take this 1 in Notthingham... But Kessler is a very difficult boxer to fight.. Even Ward was constantly walking back against Kessler... Kessler wins the ring, but Froch is just more precise..
Have a look at round 3 in the Green fight.. Many signs that Kessler's eyes are back. Anf if that is the case Kessler will be better than he was in Kessler-Froch I.
Imo. he looked crude against Ward, Perdomo, Froch... basically all the fights where he had eye injury. Look at how he has almost no precision in the Froch fight but just won on sheer output and will. Have a look at the Green fight. For example round 3.. signs that he avoided punches by millimeters and hit very precisely. I think his precision is back after several fights where he has no judgment of distance..
however, when it comes to real fights we see a totally different Carl I still remember how easily Ward handled him. Made him look like a bum.
I thought he won the first fight and definantly has the beating of him if they ever face off again outside of Sauerland turf.
This might be a bloody war... especially in later rounds. Something tells me Kessler will show in rematch that he is war torn... I am backing up the viking warrior thou.
