yea froch does like to throw the right hand, im not saying he just walks into punchs and comes forward like hatton, counter puncher? he does fight like a reckless chicken when fighters are close to him, just like the reid fight cought reid loads up close, but your right his favourite combo is the 1 2 right

"Tell Carl Froch and all of his fans that on October 17 there will be a new Sheriff of Nottingham - ME!" declared Dirrell. "The Cobra is going to be eating a lot of leather when we meet. I'm going to knock his fangs down his throat. Cobra my foot, garden snakes are more dangerous than he is! He's just a little worm."

    - Andre Dirrell

"I'm coming off two great wins against proven World Champions so Dirrell doesn't worry me. In fact I bet when he lies in bed at night and stares at the ceiling it's already starting to sink in that he's going to have to get in there with the Cobra. He's probably having nightmares about it already every night but trust me it will be nothing compared to the nightmare that will face him on October 17."

Yes, Froch is a multidimensional fighter with a high skill set.

You call that stalking? Trading shots in the middle of the ring is stalking? Froch would take 2 steps forward, Taylor would take 1 step back, then Taylor would take a step forward, infact I'd say most of Taylors best shots were him getting off first before Froch could.

He's not a good counter puncher. But he does try to be a counter puncher. Thats why he fights out of that style.

And that equates to stalking? Again, rewatch the fight and tell me when Froch presses forward against Taylor. Most of the action occured in the center of the ring. Given that Taylor only goes back in straight lines and doesnt know how to turn his man, if Froch was a come forward fighter he should have been able to press Taylor against the ropes like a true come forward fighter like say Pavlik was able to do.

Froch thinks he's Roy Jones Jr. Froch likes to counter punch. In neither the Pascal or taylor fight did he press either until very late in the fight. In the beginnng of both fights, he was actually the guy backing up.

That sums the fight up pretty nicely. For the record (as you rightly said) Froch does come forward hard and is an extremely effective conterpuncher. The two methods of offence aren't necessarily incompatible. Froch is more than happy to absorb some punishment to dish out more punishment and that's what people on here don't get. His style relies on this technique and he is very comfortable with it, if he wasn't he would have changed his technique much earlier in his career. Adamek takes a lot of shots too but he doesn't seem to get the same level of critisism as Froch, perhaps because he operates in a weaker division?

Terrible account of the fight. Anyone with eyes could see who was the aggressor the first half of the fight between Froch and Pascal.

    See for yourself

Whos back is the first to touch the ropes? Not Pascals.

Rounds 2-3-4. Only in round 3 is Froch the aggressor. In round 4, he is fighting off the back foot, largely moving along the ropes.
