farce. I haven't seen one single bit if advertising on tv for this fight? Its not been covered in the news or papers. Is this new paperview chanel available on Virgin? I think I read an article on the bbc wesite about two weks ago, the only thing ive even heard leading up to this fight.

I have seen an advert in the papers for it and in boxing news (I think), but thats it. There should be some TV exposure on the Friday (weigh-in etc.), but it won't be on a grand scale - local Nottingham news and possibly a dedicated BBC news channel (maybe...) will be about all the promotion it will get on television.

There's been a fair bit in newspapers that I've picked up over the last few weeks compared to most fights. It's only Ricky Hatton that gets mainstream coverage on terrestrial news much before any fight really.

They've had adverts in some of the tabloids I think, hardly any fights get mainstream TV exposure these days.

If you have a twitter, facebook or other social networking account, post details of this PPV card. Or if you are on other boxing/sports sites, post details. I have been plugging it on BunceBoxingHour twitter account. I think Froch deserves to get a good audience for his fight, it is a disgrace that his last world title fights were not shown by another channel. Let's show our support for this and get the word out.

No matter how much advertising is done at this late stage, it is still going to be up against it as this ideally should have had a much longer build up to try and capture the casual fan. I think a more accurate indicator of the demand for such PPV cards is better gauged after another card, with a longer build up and incisive marketing plan.

Little bit now and again in Metro, I thought there would be more in week leading up to fight.
