This is what I have been arguing. The number 3 spot is up for grabs if one of them dominates the other and if Bute doesn't impress a hell of a lot against a non-top 15 opponent.

Nah, whoever wins this is still behind Bute. Bute has beaten Bika and Berrio, which is better than anything Inkin or Froch have done so far. The winner would be above Mundine though.

Good fight - 50/50 in my view. Location might become a important factor. If it's in Germany, then I'd favour Inkin to take a decision.

Winner is ranked 3/4 in smw - below Calzaghe/Kessler - level with Bute, above Mundine.

Yes...I think the winner of Pascal/Miranda will face Braehmer in an eliminator for the WBO. I am fancying Pascal to go all the way. He would become the youngest World Champion, at just under 26...

It all depends when and if (it is the WBO) an eliminator would be called. Maybe it won't at all, unless Joe drops the belt first.

Beating Bika and Berrio is better than anything Inkin or Froch have done so far, therefore Bute is currently ranked above Inkin and Froch.

But beating Froch is better than beating Bika, and beating Inkin is better than beating Bika as well. So therefore the winner of that fight is arguably above Bute.

Of course it will depend on what the fight looks like.

Ahhh, location...I hope it's in Britain because Froch can realistically win only by KOing Inkin or by getting at least 2 KDs...even with biased judges, it would be obvious if he wins or not. On the other hand, you would have to fancy Inkin by decision - and decisions in Germany are probably less fair than in Britain. If Froch only KDs him once, say, it should be obvious whether Inkin had won the fight or not - and the judges would have to give him the nod, if he had.

Bika however has already gone the distance with JC and fought Beyer by the time Bute fought him. Berrio was IBF champ after defeating Stieglitz? and Bute defeated him.

While i'm not trying to discredit a win for wither Froch or Inkin, they heaven't fought anyone of note unitl each other. Pending on the outcome, i'd imagine I'd still place Bute ahead of the winner.

Lets hope Calzaghe relinquises his titles soon, so there is a clear situation how the future loks.

    WBC: Froch-Inkin
    WBA: Mundine-?
    IBF: Bute-Stieglitz/Larsen
    WBO: Brahmer-Pascal

Against Codrington, Bika looked worse than he did against Calzaghe and Bute.

I think there can be no doubt about that.

From every point of view, including stamina and speed, not to mention strategical planning and implementation, and fighting an intelligent fight, Bika was much more in form when he went against Joe, and particularly against Lucian - as he has admitted himself on a couple of occasions - than at any point in the Contender.

Haha! 80/20 in favour of Froch,eh? Froch by ko in round 6,eh?
I guess that you have never seen Inkin fight in a ring!
By the way Inkin beat Froch at the amateurs.
Froch vs Inkin can go either way,but I for my part bet my money on the excellent Russian counterboxer.
