good attempt at an unbiased thread, predictably hijacked by 1-eyed fanboys.

It highlights the difference to both the commentaries one being more Froch sided and one more Groves, Ididnt think I would need to spell that out to you and I never mentioned anyone changing their mind....why do you feel the need to make stuff up!

Believe me I'm not upset by your post I am a fan of watching boxing I like both Froch and Groves and favoured Froch but Groves has shown he has what it takes to mix with the best.

One again I'm not a fanboy I'm boxing fan, the best man will win if Groves wins then props to him, it would not change my opinion of Froch.

The likes of you are a nightmare on forums, you're not a boxing fan, you're a Carl Froch fan :patsch

Anyone who scores a fight based on commentary doesn't know boxing

I don't need to post score cards. Even if my scorecards were that Groves won every round - it has no impact on my point. My point is that people who say Froch had ZERO success are wrong. I could have scored it all to Groves, but Froch still TKO'd him, so score cards are irrelevant.

Ward - Froch has nothing to do with this thread. Again, Froch my have had more success than many fighters against Ward, but he still lost 8-9 of the 12 rounds. Doesn't mean it was an EASY fight for Ward. You are a waste of space trying to start arguments about points I never even made.

    And you're a contrary ****.

Exactly...completely agree, Groves is a great fighter, and I look forward to his career after Froch hopefully finishes his own off in style!

Why thank you, I haven't posted for f*cking ages... and starting this thread made me remember why that was...

I definitely think the commentary was heavily biased, although Groves was well ahead all of Froch's work was totally overlooked.

Obviously the stoppage was still way too early and I'm happy there needed to be rematch.

    You're entitled to your opinion.

I despise Froch but as i've stated before, i worry that Groves will get stopped in the rematch. He pretty much boxed a perfect fight in their first encounter and everything went to plan...yet there is no doubt George was in serious trouble in the 9th and looking like he was fading in fight.

So what happens if Froch has more success in the earlier rounds, dosen't get floored in the 1st round this time and GG dosen't have things all his own way?

I hope GG proves me wrong and knocks out Froch in the re-match, i have my doubts that will happen though and it could end in tears for George.

How could the radio 5 commentator have the fight level after five rounds?

Groves fought a beautiful fight for the majority of the fight and was ahead by a significant margin, but to think that Froch was ineffective for most of the fight until the last couple, is idiotic. There might be plenty of bull**** coming from Froch after the fight, but Groves has been talking shite too. To say that Froch had his one and only success in the 9th round is grade A bull****. Even during most of the early beat down, Froch was still getting through with some punches. Even when Froch was getting his ass beaten to shreds in the 6th round, Froch was still getting through with punches. If you throw the kitchen sink at an opponent for half the fight and most of it in the 6th, you think you'll be able to stop any punches coming the other way later on?

As Terminator X said, Groves fought close to the perfect fight. Any normal boxer would have lost, but Froch is something else. Unless Froch turns old overnight, Groves is in for an even harder nights work than the last, and trust me, it was a very difficult nights work the first time around.
