Living in England, this fight is MASSIVE.

I'm just interested to hear how big it is outside of the country? America and elsewhere. Is there much talk?

There is never any talk in US sports media about boxing other than Mayweather or Pacquiao, with the occasional Alvarez, Marquez, or Hopkins temporary spotlight before one of their fights... It sucks.

This is unfortunately 100% true. The media here in the U.S. still make Mike Tyson a huge story.

It really sucks that Carl Froch, Andre Ward, Timothy Bradley, Danny Garcia, Mikey Garcia, and so many others, aren't household names.

Anyway, I think Froch-Groves II will be Fight of the Year, barring another crappy stoppage by the ref. I can't wait for it! The only other fights that could top it are Bradley-Pacquiao II or Stevenson-Kovalev.

No Buzz at all here in the states about the fight.

Neither fighter are household names here in the states. Most people will only know Froch as the guy who Ward schooled.
Here in the states, those fighters are seen as only journeymen and B level champions like Frank Bruno was.

boxing has always been a non-mainstream sport that relied on a select few to put it up in lights once or twice a year. that's unlikely to change

    You constantly w/the insults.

So what makes you a tough guy and able to talk ****? You a boxer? A soldier? A cop? A logger? What?

Bet you're a ****ing namby pamby, cubicle dwelling, nothing that sucks up to his boss in abject terror at the slightest hint of reprove.

Or maybe I'm giving you too much credit.

You're more likely some kid gets bullied alot and talks tough on the web.

If it's the latter, I apologize and best wishes that your circumstances improve.

Either way welcome to my ignore list.

I doubt many casuals know who Froch or Ward are.
If you asked a casual boxing fan if they ever heard of the "Super 6" they would probably think it's the next super hero movie coming out this summer.

People over here have no idea they're fighting and don't have a clue who Froch and Groves are.
That's not a sneer against Froch and Groves, but rather because people here don't seem to give a sh*t about boxing for many years now. Most people here (at least 90% I guess) don't even know Floyd or Pac.
