Is this your most anticipated fight of the year?

    It is mine.

I don't see how Groves loses the rematch. He is too fast for Carl and has real power.

I see Groves boxing to a decision!

Not at all. Far from it in fact. Tells you a story when the promoter's best way of selling the fight is to get both men to act like dicks towards one another. Immature as ****. The fight happening at MSG 7 days later is far bigger in terms of how it'll influence the boxing landscape for the remainder of the year.

perhaps in the UK this is the most anticipated fight this year due to the Sky hype. However personally speaking I have been far more interested in Pac-Bradley, Canelo-Angulo and Mayweather-Maidana, not to mention Marquez last week and Khan debuting at Welter. Also far more excited about Donaire fighting for the WBA Feather belt, Canelo v Lara and Rigo's return to the ring and hopefully Frampton fighting for a world crown later this year. What does it matter if Cotto and Martinez are coming to the end of their careers? (isn't Froch?) Fact is their fight and it's outcome will have a shakedown on the boxing landscape for the rest of the year perhaps in terms of who Floyd fights next and maybe even leading to a Martinez-GGG fight depending on the outcome. Froch v Groves 2 is nowhere near that level on a world scale

its a case that groves is the upcomer and could cause waves even if he lost to froch. if froch loses he retires. its a big match to determine each others career paths. also the fact that they dont seem to like each other, its in the uk but still means its a world class fight. and the last fight was a great one, it was a quite a war. froch and groves are top 5 super middle weight lets not forget, so really this is the 'fight' in the supermiddle weight division to challenge ward. another one would be groves vs degale 2. ok i must admit cotto vs martinez is probably a bigger fight, but its all about personal preference. watch the fireworks 80,000 seat staduim. the atmosphere will be electric.

Ward's inactivity and ongoing court case with his promoter has killed the SMW division. the original Q asked was is it your (as in my) most anticipated fight of the year and my answer is no. Personally I don't care if Groves makes waves in defeat or if Froch retires after a beating. Both men are complete dicks the way they conduct themselves and the outcome of this fight will have no impact on boxing worldwide no matter who wins

you cant really say that seeing as froch as been one of the best super middle weights of the past few years.

and groves is talented enough to beat all top 10 super middles apart from ward, thats something. not only that but any middleweight who thinks they can move in to smw would get throughly beaten by george id put money on it.

theres only a few anticipated fights i liked to see right now and one aint gonna happen. money vs pacman, kovalev vs stevenson, huck vs lebedev 2, ggg vs ward, wlad vs pulev. no one which are likely to happen this year or ever.

oh and yeah the 1st fight wasn't great - just looked like 2 guys standing in the middle of the ring slugging with a terrible stoppage from a ref who earlier on that day liked a facebook comment about Froch stopping Groves in the 9th. Sport is Boxing

Cotto-Martinez and Canelo-Lara are more anticipated I think. Especially Canelo-Lara. Two young top fighters actually fighting each other without ducking and dodging! Who woulda thunk it.

Groves left Froch defenseless in the first fight....

would be phenomenal if Froch can make it competative

Groves is a dimwit if he stops boxing Froch towards the end of the fight and starts to brawl.

so i'm not allowed to hold an opinion because Froch has been a top SMW over the last few years. You're starting to make less and less sense here. Good luck getting some winnings back betting Groves over GGG if they were ever to fight. Jesus
