iv seen froch and groves many times live. In fifty years will tell my grandkids I saw one of the greatest of all time.Doubt il be mentioning froch-kessler fight or froth-groves too many times however enjoyable they were. No doubt will be cracking fight froch and groves. And im gutted im not going but despite me being a big groves fan the reality is neither are the best in there division let alone best of all time. Plus over here despite being a massive improvement under match room the build up and fight week just isnt the same.
I see what your saying here, but look at the people who still go on about Benn v Eubank 20 odd years later? With Froch and Groves, we have something similar happening again. If the rematch is anything like the 1st (this time hopefully with a decisive ending), you can bet the two match ups between these two will be talked about for years too come. I was at the first fight, one of the few who cheered Groves into the ring and one of the thousands that cheered him out. I nearly went about 4 rows down going mad when he put Froch on his arse. As soon as Foster stopped that fight, there was no way I wasn't going to the rematch if it happened. I look to get to as many live fights as I can each year but as people have already mentioned many went to the first Froch Groves fight but have been priced out of the rematch which is a disgrace... these tout websites are a ****ing joke. Taking away a great fight from many real fans being replaced by casuals who ain't really all that interested anyway.. just so they can tell there mates they went no doubt. I've been lucky enough to get a good seat for this by going down the route of who I know. But had that not been the case my wallet would have either took a big hit or I'd have just ****ed the whole thing off.... it's a **** take, proper fans missing out.
Thats what wound me up paid 800 for vip tickets to support the first show and feel mugged right off about the way the second fight ahs been handled. Dont disagree with you at all and am on your side i cheered groves in ring and had backed him at 25/1 to knockout froch and 9/2 to win the fight so trust me i cheered aswell when went down ha ha Is there a slim chance like many second fights this could be nowhere near as good?benn eubank 2 not the best after all?Or do these two match up stylistically to well? Iv no doubt groves v froch the more likely to be the better fight just hoping mayweather a better event.
It is a proper joke... then they give the "60,000 tickets sold in under an hour" bull****. Well no... probably 10,000 tickets go to fans lucky enough to get through on the phone lines or didn't get the "this website currently has a lot traffic.." message and the other 50,000 went to touts! I honestly couldn't believe what I was seeing when Froch went over in the 1st, what a ****ing shot. Yeah definitely a chance it might not be as good as the 1st but that's the chance you take, it's the biggest all British fight for years. Think it depends on how Groves decides to box... whether he looks to hold the centre of the ring again or box on the back foot. If he looks to hold the centre of the ring again, we're probably in for another barn stormer... if he goes off the back foot then we're probably not. Personally, I think he should still look to hold the centre of the ring once again but make a few adjusments here and there. I reckon he will as well, I don't think he just want's to 'beat' Froch, he wants to properly 'beat' him i.e. put his lights out.
