Groves fans are naive as hell if they think that was going to end well for him. In the 8th and 9th rounds, he was getting desperately tired from all the wasted, nervous energy he exerts (which is also similar to Taylor) and was getting clubbed around the ring by Froch. He was EXHAUSTED, his punches were no longer bothering Froch, and his face was beaten to a pulp.
He was exhaustes but Taylor's defense is non existent Groves was at least moving his head No one could tell for sure what woulda happened because Groves coulda survived by clinching
Yeah because Froch KO'd one person late in a fight while behind on the cards that means it's always gonna happen. Groves' punches were still having having effect. Froch was also exhausted. At one pont in the 9th round he stumbled and fell back onto the ropes all by himself. He was also so tired that his punches were sloppy, many of them were missing and were too weak to put a chinny, exhausted George Groves' on the canvas. Nobody knows how the fight would have ended.
Groves was nowhere near being Bute'd. Bute was doing the chicken dance for 2 rounds before he was stopped, Groves gets hit with one clean punch and the ref couldn't wait to jump in. Look at Groves legs they're absolutely fine... nowhere near as hurt as Froch was earlier in the fight
He was defending himself and still trying to throw back. He wasn't concussed on the ropes eating shots to the face. Ridiculous and suspicious stoppage
