Correction, Froch won a legitmate World Title, and then spent several years fighting the best in the division.

Joe won *****s personal World Title, then spent the next decade fighting cans.

Froch never was a true champion, he was a belt holder at best. He never unify the titles, Joe did.
He has his chance too, but was completely CLOWNED by Ward.
He was outboxed by Dirrel.
He LOST to shot Calzaghe leftovers...
