I agree. He HAD to fight Groves again, as not to look like he was doing a Lennox and hiding from the rematch.
He won, but bar the knockout didn't look great, was poor in the 1st fight, and I do think mentally he doesn't want that anymore.
But then after the career he has had(waaaayyyyy above his ability level) maybe calling it a day is the right thing to do.
He won't beat Ward, he knows that, so why risk(a very real risk) of DeGale beating him pretty handily.

if that's the case fair enough just retire! but stop pretending your leagues above potential opponents when he is clearly not and never has been. saying I cant get up to fight X is disrespectful and ignorant

Froch has some of the biggest bottle going it's more likely the terms being offered him are not worth it.
He probably has a figure in his mind what he would fight again for and it hasn't been reached.

Degale barely survived and finish the match against Direll and people are thinking he stops froch

    GTFO, froch annihilates Degale

I actually hope he fights him now because Degale's stock has gone up somewhat but he still ends up like groves.

"big announcement next week" ... how long ago did he say those words , seems like a long time to me . so what can we make of this delay , GGG has normally named his next opponent within weeks of his last challenger which he has not this time , maybe just maybe negotiations are ongoing ?

well thats what im hoping anyway , doubtful it is the case but we have to hold out some sort of hope , its a dream fight that the whole boxing world would tune into , its almost guaranteed to be total war for however long it lasts !!

Hope your not including me in that? im far from a groves fan another british boxer who thinks he is better than he is im just stating facts that froch rates himself higher than he should because technically he is terrible that fact that he is a freak in absorbing punishment shouldn't be applauded

    I love this line.

So what is Frochs LEVEL ?

He is/was the second best SMW in the world, and only playing second fiddle to a potential P4P number 1.

Every time Froch fights we have experts like yourself explaining his short comings, and telling us how and why he'll lose, but he keeps winning.

Now i ain't the supersticious type, but fcuk me if Froch got where he is on pure luck, then i'll believe anything.

Now how motivated and prepared Froch is at present i have no idea, but any version of Froch would bully and beat up DeGale.

As for GGG, Froch would starch him.

your all missing the point im not saying he is a bottle job I have already stated that he is the toughest british fighter for many a decade what im saying is since the 1st groves fight something has changed because of the beating he took, his appetite for fighting went after that, that is what im saying
