There is lots being said about boxing fans in the uk hating Carl and booing him after his last fight. Truth is in Britain when you have big fights in big arenas like Manchester it brings all the "CASUAL FANS" out of the woodwork who are drunk and have only ever watched big fights probably a few times in there life. Real boxing fans in the uk love Carl and appreciate wot he has done in the sport. If Carl is defeated tonight he can go out with his head held high now if groves is defeated that will be two losses already in a short career, I don't think Carl has played on that fact enough and with the degale fight it already could of been two losses.

People dislike Froch because they hate Poland.

I personally don't dislike him but for some reason I was pulling for Groves to win and will in this fight, there's something about Froch's personality that rubs me up the wrong way.

He constantly mentions his past achievements and was begging for respect off of Groves, why the hell should the kid give him respect to try and boost his ego when he was getting in the ring to try and bash his head in!

He's a D1ck, thats what it is. In one interview he even admitted it few years ago, he said he doesnt really care..

Also he did another interview, where he talked about his 'rough' childhood, but when he really grew up in a village, and when the reporter asked how it was rough he got stuck, he said the area he grew up in wasnt all that rough, but where he used to hang about as a kid was (whos freakin fault is that) and he was trying to play the i had it rough card, also said it was so rough when he was 13 he had his motor-bike stolen, what 13 year old can afford that?, if he had it rough he wouldnt be able to afford a normal bike...

Great fighter to watch though, but either way he is near the end and its better for boxing if Groves wins.

Froch has plenty of support. As does Groves. But thus fight is in GG's home city. Simple as that.

Wrong! Many casual fans love Froch and many hardcore fans don't like him. Many casuals love him because of his warrior image and many hardcore fans don't like him because of personality and lack of skills.

British fight fans and fans in general love a gallant loser, rather cry with a loser than celebrate with a winner, we celebrate athletes at the Olympics getting to a semi final where as American fans dnt Evan bother recognising a athlete unless they bring a medal back
