It's called Google. Easy enough to check the crime statistics and to infer that Nottingham is not a tough city. Unlike Stockholm with that syndrome...damn! You must've had it rough.:D

Listen, the point is that Froch did not grow up in a tough neighborhood. That's doesn't mean his father didn't whoop his arse. But in the end, it's just more bull**** from a fighter that likes to bull****. :D

Also it's not neccesaraly gun crime and drug dealing that make people tough... it may even make them lesser natural boxers/fighters... it's coming through (relative) hardship that gives people the stealy determination and mental toughness with motivation to do better. HARDWORK....DEDICATION

It's no surprise that most American Black Boxers are better at boxing, being slick defensive counter punchers.... It's the upbringing from the street that made them fight in this way.... Fight Smart....Hustle.... Hit and don't be Hit. And Tyson has said something similar to this in his documentary...

Maybe the people in Nottingham are so tough that they do not report crime, they take justice into their own hands. Would this Google tell you that?

First off you don't know where I have been so be careful what you say before you open your mouth. I actually have been there while it does not appear to be the safest city it looks nothing like Detroit, Oakland, or South Central LA.

Maybe he didn't grow up in a tough neighbourhood, I have no idea, I was just taking the **** out of the guys that love to talk about how tough their city is, especially since most of them eith live in the nicer suburbs or stay indoors when the streetlights come on.
And yeah Froch talks a lot of bull****, it's entertaining though.

It would tell me if they found bodies on the street. Unless the people of Nottingham are also adept at desolving corpses in their bathtubs with lye. :D

I'd say Nottingham has the higher percentage of tough guys than those cities you named. Places like Detroit may have a lot of fools running around with guns, but few of them could fight to save their lives.

I guess we'll never know since Nottingham is not worth visiting, this Ricardinho bloke has apparently been there so maybe he'd know.

I have a mate who grew up in war torn Sarajevo. Some of his stories and photographs from the time are crazy, others are quite funny. Top bloke, always has a smile on his face. I figure its because he knows how ****ing lucky he is to be alive...

In terms of a fighter's toughness, his background is irrelevant. Being brought up in a shack with no food, water etc etc will obviously turn you into a tough specimin but that doesnt determine your toughness as a fighter. You can have a guy who was brought up in absolute hell that cant take a punch.

However, if you get brought up in a mansion in Hollywood, your hardly gonna have a chin like Jake La Motta.

Vitali Klitshcko wasnt poor when he grew up and he's never even been hurt by a punch. Punch resistance is often stemmed from a fighters mental strength.

As for Froch's claim of tough life as he 'never went to private school' - get outa here with that sh*t.

there is your mistake... most of these guys can fight. When they get arrested and go to prison they learn to fight and kill with their bare hands. You oversimplified the variables you never know who can or cant fight based on appearance. I would not feel any safer being around a thug knowing he was unarmed...
