Why should he feel like a ****? The interviewer has asked him about his life growing up and he's answered it. Have you been to places in Nottingham like St Anne's?

So, because Froch did'nt grow up in America or South America, he's not allowed to say to anyone that he had a tough upbringing? If you're going on that basis, then people who've grown up in Ghetto's in the US should keep quiet about their tough up bringing because it's nothing compared to growing up in Beirut and Bosnia?

Froch is British and he grew up in a tough area in Britain. What's the problem?

I posted the excact same video some time ago, but with a different headline:

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=217958

People weren't reacting at all in the same way eventhough it was the same video.

People are ****ing lemmings. They read the headline of the thread and start bashing away.

I guess he meant "strict" when he said tough.
Que the tedious ethnic peanut gallery regaling us with how "tough" it is in America. yadda yadda yadda

    Why was it tough?

Well uhhh my dad was strict...not overly strict.
WTF? First off strict parents doesnt = tough background and secondly, err not overly strict?

I had a bike at 13, fell of it, was bleeding, just get back on it again.
The man has a motorbike at 13, how strict cant his parents be, my parents certainly wouldnt have allowed it when I was 13. And who the **** hasnt fell off a bike and scraped their knee...

I got into a couple of fights at school...
    Who the **** hasn't?

The guy just comes off as fake, you dont have to act ghetto or pretend you had a rough upbringing to be "tough". Must be insecure. He's like a grown up chav trying to impress people of how tough he is...

I respect your opinion, but I honestly think you're reading far too much into that video. I don't see anything wrong with it at all. The interviewer is asking him questions about what life was like growing up and he answers them honestly.

How dare Froch say stuff like this, he should look to Hopkins maybe as an example of Truly Tough background. Then he can start bitching about losing to white guys (racism), mess around with countrys flags (disrespect) and then to truly show how tough its made him he can fall over and fake injurys. WHY!!!!!! do some boxers get hated on for every little word they say and others forgiven for every singlew word and action they take. let me guess people like Hopkins can do it because they so much more skilled ?

    What a knob!

You leave your bike outside a shop and it gets nicked. That's just what happens in most places. Don't leave your bike lying around.

Everyone has had worse **** than what he said go on in their lives. I've had plenty worse than that. WTF? He once saw a black person on his street..Oh ****! That's ghetto!

Froch is such a David Brent type character it's hilarious.

Yet in this thread we being told how much of a **** hole it is full of dangerous places that the american goverment is obviosly unable to control?. You are right more people do die in america but thats mainly down to the fact we have competent people making sure it stays that way.

I'm pretty sure that the phrase was on German belt buckles in WWI too.

In Russian prisons any German slogan tattoo is just a way to show that you're anti authority, anti Russian state, since Germany was their #1 enemy. Most guys from prison wearing that wouldn't be literal Nazi's, i wouldn't put too much stock in it.

That's a pretty cool momento to have. I have a couple bills, money, from Nazi Germany. My Grandma's brother had a whole bunch of stuff watches, wallets, belts, etc from axis soldiers that he took that he gave to his kids.
