if you want tough backgrounds, try the fighters who started out dirt poor in 3rd world countries where welfare is nothing but a distant dream...

Come on bro you cant compare how tough it is to survive out here as opposed to the living conditions out in a place like Canada. Yes the weather is bad, yes there are bears but they aint stealing your car or shooting at you are they?

:yep Truth. Even the deepest darkest ghetto in America is like vacationing in sweden in comparison to where guys like Pacquiao and Clottey grew up.

Canada is just the giant Suburb of the US. its all rainbows and butterflies.

I get comments like that about San Diego. Everyone thinks its all beaches and golf resorts. Little do they know that no matter where you are there is usually a rough area with some rough guys hanging out. **** hanging out in the gaslamp may get shot on a good day.

Froch on the other hand described a life that many would envy. He had it rough... working class.. my dad was strict but not too strict.. only had his motorbike when he was 13 and would just get back up after falling and those black people living where his friends did. if thats a tough background then what was worldvision pacquiao living like.

Ya, bears are the greatest enemy in Canada. People also live in igloos, and you're right, there are no thieves and no guns.

Like I said, you're ignorant. It's either comical or pathetic.

3rd world countries are very different.

I have lived several years in Asia, and I would much rather grow up in the slum of Indonesia, Thailand, or the Phillipines, than in the slums of the Ukraine or Armenia.

Thais, Phillipines etc. have very evolved social codes and treat eachother well.

In the slums of Ukraine, Armenia etc. no gives a **** about treating others well - it is law of the jungle - nothing else.

Yep. No matter where you go, you'll find trouble if you're looking for it, or if you're just in the wrong place. People who think certain places don't have rough spots haven't travelled.

Poor Carl. Those painful childhood memories of having his bike taken must have come flooding back when his Range Rover got vandalised. You can't blame him for wanting to view that security footage. It's Dickensian really.
