Last time I heard he was actually doing OK. He was in that induced coma for brain surgery the seemed to come out OK. I look at brother Nazim and
have hope for my man Guru.

I got a feeling he rolling with some real cornballs. Cat was getting bad on the drugs and alcohol. Heard that was behind the breakup. The fools he is with just ride with it mooching off of his fame.

I pray for him. That dude's music saved me from the streets.

Man that was classic too. Man Masta Ace was ahead of his time with that CD. I can still listen to that ish to this day.

I think wht's happening here is that yanks have no comprehension of understatement. When someone from Britain says that their father was strict it means that he used to kick the **** out of them. The average yank would be crying his eyes out on Oprahs couch screaming 'My father used to beast me, In was ABUSED'

And as for people acting proud of the ****ed-up ****-hole ghettos and boasting about how much worse the crime is in the USA: that is probably one of the most immature and pathetic things I have ever heard of. You sound proud of living in a country where racial inequality and elitism has lead to large areas of inner cities where young black men kill without giving it a second thought, where people have so little respect for themselves they cannot even try to empathise with their fellow man. In short they have been left to devolve into animals by the system. Way to go USA!

Them cats got pushed underground. They used to be "mainstream". Then rap went corporate.

actually when Froch said his Dad was strict it sounded like he was shocked that the interviewer asked him to elaborate.

When Americans say their family is strict they more or less mean the same thing. Usually fighters are victims of child abuse so its no shock.

In the United States when people say they come from a tough background they were poor, lived in violent neighborhoods, and they did not have a father. So when we hear Froch complaining about having a strict father and riding his little motorcycle around we think he just being a beach.

I don't know where you two idiots are coming from. The street gangs and ghettos here in Canada pale in comparison to the States. I live 30 mins from Jane/Finch and even closer to Driftwood so I know how to compare. Here poor Blacks at least have welfare and guns are much harder to come by so there isn't nearly as much gun play and desperation as in the worst places in the US, like Detroit, Chicago and California. Check out the homocide rates and compare them to the States and then tell me Canada isnt a paradise. Canada's ghettos would be considered quite decent to live in by ghetto folk in the States.

I imagine Canada has more homocides than the US but we have more homicides!

Froch is whining like a beached whale about leaning over too far while riding his vespa and scraping his arm, he was probably reaching out for a knob.

Bzzt incorrect. To the average "Yank" if you had a father you were miles ahead of 90% of all of your peers. If you had the blessing of him actually giving a damn enough to be "strict" you were ahead of 97% of them. For the record getting your ass whipped is par for the course... for Blacks that is.

Nobody is bragging on it. People are just saying that if you had a father, you "hung out in" the bad parts of town, thought the presence of minorities and/or people of mixed race was "significant", even knew private school was an option other than public school, and had motor bike at 13? You didn't have a tough upbringing. These things are NOTHING to brag about, but they put Froch's desire to be identified as "unfortunate" into perspective.

It is actually more of a compliment to British society that you are decent enough to look after your own.
