for sure.. for me a re-match with ward would should only happen IF froch beats kessler. If this happens, he will be massive in the uk and the money involved would be very healthy indeed.

Proves that he is willing to take the same risks that the other fighters are prepared to. He could have agreed to travel and therefore an even playing field in the s6 you know?

Froch fought Ward in Atlantic city that was neutral ground and Ward was "too slick" in Carls words

 

There are only two fights where I have seen Froch not show any will and confidence in the build up to the fight.. and they are the Johnson fight, and the Ward fight.

He was lethargic almost in the build up for those fights... and performed badly in both imo.

 

I tend to disagree with you when you say something suggesting that fighting in another state or country would have evened the playing field somehow, or would have changed the outcome of the fight. ward dominated utterly, every opponent he faced in the super six. how could the kessler fight taking place in denmark, or the froch fight taking place in england, evened the playing field, other than the possibility of either fight resulting in ward being on the losing end of a terrible robbery?

these guys are professional fighters as you know, and a different venue would've done nothing to ward's fights in the s6 in terms of the way they played out.

Not saying it would have changed the outcome but the fact that they wouldn't enter the super six unless he got his fights at home speaks volumes.. Fighters often loose the plot when fighting away from home and to suggest that ward didn't look for an advantage in not doing so is either naive or biased imo. And as for ward being robbed, well the same applies for all the fighters surely and when the tournie was organised you cannot tell me that it was plain as day that ward was going to dominate so the organisers thought ward should have all his fights in oakland instead of risking him getting robbed whilst dominating?

what does seeking home advantage say about ward and his team? and what do you mean by "lose the plot:? are you suggesting that he would've been mentally off his game in some way? also, although ward wasn't a favorite when the tournament got under way, he dominated every fighter he faced so thoroughly that I think it's absurd to suggest a change of venue would have altered the ultimate results of his tournament tenure.
