For me , its down to the way he fights , he is quick , accurate and strong. Y'know its like he does the basics excpetionaly well. There is nothing there that is particularly flashy but with a guy thats really good at doing the simple things , unless his opponent is doing something special , beating him is going to be a massive struggle.

But your right if you just look at ranking against record without having watched what he does , then they don't seem to match up.

    Crackin fighter tho !

Its easy enough to beat a guy who doesn't get in the ring anymore

OK and why Froch is so highly rated, outboxed and lucky ko vs over the hill Taylor, brawling with Pascal, knocking Rybacki??? Really, I can't see it.

Yeah he's always been a bit overated by some, not quite 'elite' in my book.
Still he should be too much for Froch.

me too , no question :good

I suppose if they get on it'll come down to wether Froch can do enough damage to Kessler while he ( inevitably ) eats jabs and right hands. I would give Froch the edge in power but with that left hand of his dangling round his knee you would think Kessler is going to have plenty to hit.

Cant see Froch winning on points , he'd have to stop him.

Maybe it's his impeccable textbook technique, strength, heart, and relative in-ring consistency? Just a shot in the dark.

    :huh

Kessler take on Startison, unproven but undefeated prospect, he outbox the guy for 12 rounds before knocking him and its an OK performance. Froch take on Taylor, pretty good but past his best, is ouboxed for at least 7 or 8 rounds before finally knocking Taylor out and its a master performance??? I still dont get it!!

In fact, long time ago, Froch was pretty high on my list, but Froch fans, making the best thing since the sliced bread, makes me a little bit frustrated, sorry!

Jesus Man... That Sartison was****ing natural ligh middleweight at his best and who the ****ing Sartison anyways?:D

Jermain Taylor is Great, GREAT win, very good boxer. The thing is Froch showed us EXTREMELY toughness to a end fight like that against opposition Kessler have NEVER faced.

Froch fans ( well me anyway ! ) are well aware of Carls utter disdain for blocking or avoiding punches , and that depsite having an excellent jab he regularly throws it like it cost money.

But its truly refreshing in these days of hiding behind belts and paper champs that you have a guy out there willing to trade to travel and to chase fights against guys ( who on paper ) should skelp him. True he is arrogant and lacks a bit of charm to take the edge of it but damn there is ( for me ) a LOT to like.
