top 15/20 the sport is deep and there were greater era's. His record is very good but not great. In terms of technique and ability boxers like Welsh, Conteh and Buchanan were far superior.

    Froch a G though.

But if winning a title was about skills only then Herol Graham would be an all time great. You need heart, a will to win and a great chin.

For all Mayweather's skill he has a good chin and a will to win.....these get forgotten.

Froch is up there in the top 5 of british boxers because of his CV alone

Not many FIGHTERS like Froch though ros, and the title did say fighters not technically brilliant boxers.

And yes, a full blown G. :good

Not really sure we cant take anything you say anymore with any merit the way you totally dismissed froch :rofl:rofl:rofl

Joe C was a good fighter but never faced the best at their prime, at least froch fought Ward in his prime

Lewis never beat anybody at their peak, Bowe was the man, but he chose to bin the belt.

Which ATG SMW did Froch avoid ?

The fact that Lewis got ko'ed twice is mute given he avenged both losses and it's heavyweight boxing FFS! Froch is definitely in the top ten of Brit greats and I feel the key to that is the fact that he has over achieved massively in relation to his boxing ability. He still fails to get the full respect he deserves in my opinion and what really rankles with me is the people who say he has NO chance against Ward in a rematch. The kind of grit and tenacity that Froch brings means he is always going to be in with a shout right up to the last bell! Granted, ward is all wrong for him, but as was so eloquently shown on Saturday night, it only takes one punch. If only Ward would pull his head out his own arse and fight Froch in the uk. That would make for a very interesting match up IMO.

Froch is above someone like Ricky Hatton, but below the likes of Lewis/Calzaghe in my opinion.

Calzaghe is still underated on here, he was a superb fighter...

Froch has been in some great fights and with some good fighters, but lets not forget he lost to a version of Kessler that wasn't as good as the version Calzaghe beat, and was clearly beaten by Ward. He's never been the No1 in his division either.

Calzaghe fought some bums, no doubt about it, but he was World champion for such a long time, he still beat some good fighters. And the Hopkins win gets stronger every year.

Froch is an awesome fighter though, so tough and determined, and often does the business despite not being as naturally gifted as fighters like Calzaghe.

And I'm not trying to put Froch down, his achievements are amazing, and he would literally fight anyone, anywhere. He is a legend, I just rate Lewis/Calzaghe more highly.

Froch is up there with the best! His will to win is outstanding.

When he does decide to hang them up he will definately be missed, you dont get many fighters like him.

There arent many other fighters in this era I can name that I think the same about.

No he's not. he's about top 20 on CV as for being tough and having will to win. Britian have produced many, Lynch and Buchanan were as tough as they come tougher than Froch with tremendous fighting spirits. There's ****ing loads TBH. folk have short memories or no historic knowledge to understand.

As for going by as the title says then Benny Lynch, and Buchanan were tougher, had better chins and were tougher fighters. As well as beiNg more talented and technical.. Loads more as well :good
