Pascal was a top contender and is the current Light Heavyweight champion of the world. Just because he was bested by Froch you assume he was weight drained. A pathetic excuse to try and slander a quality win that is above anything that Dirrell, Ward, or Abraham has acheived. Taylor dethroned the Middleweight King who had not lost for years, he was an above average fighter. True he wasn't at his best, but he was still a capable fighter and Froch showed his power and determination in beating him. Froch beat Dirrell end of story. It was a close fight, but the fighter who pressed the fight won. It happens all the time.
Froch is cool as hell.....he sold me as a fan when he was gonna get a stich or 2 after kessler fight and was quoting parts from the rambo movie FIRST BLOOD.... "like john j rambo" he would say real fast.....in regards to getting stiched up with no anesthia (which i dont think he went rhough with) a dude from the UK quoting an american movie from 1982, he was probably 5 when it came out! froch is cool..and his wife is hot :good
He seems quite relaxed too me. When I watched him in showtimes 360 he wasn't as stupid as I thought he would be, so I really think some of his public persona is act, but the delusional part him thinking he's versatile and able to beat everyone etc. is quite real, although it might even out as he ages.
Yeah, he definitely isn't stupid, and in fact, is a funny guy. I think it'd be very interesting to see what he would be like if he didn't have this pressure to be tough all the time. Thanks for sticking to the subject, good post. I cant tell whether you're being serious or not. Wouldn't a real tough guy not make a big deal and not brag about having gotten stitched up without anesthesia, which, by the way, is routine.
I think he is a cool guy, at least he doesn't say **** like "I'll fight whoever they put in front of me" in EVERY interview, thank god 10 times, then shout out to all of his boys back home.
Anyway Johnson I agree he is projecting quite and interesting persona in the media, but deep down he's just a simple man who can't losing.
not really, the subject is Joe Calzaghe and his career he's all over the place, and when talking about the Dirrell fight he's pretty tense. He just seems confident, but I really don't think it is all real, in the Kessler fight he seemed frustrated and had many excuses after the bout. I like Froch and think he is a great character, and one thing he doesn't lack is courage though.
He looked wieght drained. I said this before he beat Dawson. He was schooling Froch in the first 5 rounds then he just stepped off the gas and started training. If they fought again Pascal wins easy. Hopkins had Taylor out on his feet in the first fight and I scored it for Hopkins in the second fight. Hopkins also was probably weight drained. Taylor also should have lost to a junior welterweight in Winky Wright and struggled against cory spinks. And yet still was going to win comfortably had he not been stopped. Mostly becuase of fatigue. Froch got made to look like the limited bum he is. He got a gift. Post your scorecard. There is no way anyone who knows anythign about boxing had froch winning. And the funny thing is Dirrell hadnt even fought 12 rounds before.
I definitely think there's a lot of truth to that, OP. Not sure if his missus is the reason for it though, maybe partly. It's quite well documented that in his amateur days, Froch's biggest problem was his lack of self-confidence. It seems like he's flipped that around and gone the other way - deluded himself that he's actually really confident.
Him going to Denmark fighting Kessler and USA fighting Taylor proves he's a confident *******. As far has his attitude goes, he's just relaxed, in every interview. He's mature, confident of his abilities and just a good bloke in general. Don't know what you're all on about to be fair.
nah man...the point was talking about Rambo like it was the summer blockbuster movie of the year when its 30 years old...the fact he is obviously a fan of stallone movies is cool....basically it puts a human side to them.....when i think of fighters...i think of guys like stallone watching him fight....and appreciating him not vice versa.... but go back and watch the episode...think it was #6 after kessler fight...he changed his mind on the anesthesia...maybe he was kidding but it looked like he thought about it and at least did a double take...
