Froch is getting no respect in the UK

Saying another Man is good looking does not make you gay in any way. You really need to grow up.

I will agree being good looking can help you to get ahead (in all areas of life) But Charisma will get you even further. Haye, Khan and Del boy all have a certain Charisma about them which makes them entertaining.

But there is a link between looks and PPV stars. Look the current PPV stars. Not all, but a good majority of them.

 

It's true this country has gone to pot it's the xfactor generations where all that matters is looking perfect and being really really good looking.

The two times Froch stepped up in competition, he lost. Entertaining fighter with a personality might get you far, but wont get you everything.

Calzaghe should be the man in the UK.

This thread is wrong, the Cobra is respected all over the UK! Look at the reception he got from the crowd when he took the mic at the Kell Brook-Hatton fight (I was there live), and tell me he isn't widely respected.

 

it's ridiculous....gotta be a flash over substance thing with casuals and the fact that the UK has a lot more boxing coverage than just about anywhere makes it so that the average sports fan in the UK is also a casual boxing fan (whereas in north american the avaerage sports fan couldn't name you 3 active fighters)..... they have a larger portion of casuals as a result and you know how those fools are.....funny thing is though that you'd think Froch's blood and guts style would make him a hit with the casuals too!!


I would say it's a pretty boy looks thing they prefer but then again you got hatton who's their most beloved ever and even uglier than Froch! Weird ****, I don't get it.

 

Frochs original promoter fat mick couldn't promote a dog turd to flies. Froch was quite a late starter too but ultimately hasn't had the promotional hype khan, hatton and calzaghe receive/d. He has forged his own path and now with matchroom and sky he is beginning to get the publicity he deserves.
