After watching the latest special edition of froch vs groves as well as the Facebook q & a, froch is not allowing groves to get at him mentally..has froch won the second fight or is it far from a conclusion?

Well, he's not won the fight, obviously, but his demeanour reminds me of his demeanour before the Abraham and Bute fights. He knows he's got nowhere to go if he loses, so he's not contemplating it, and not giving Groves anything to work with.

More to the point, did anyone think Groves acted like a school bully whose mates have all run away when Froch was laying down the facts about Groves and rematches and putting his Lonsdale belt in the bin? Groves didn't deny that he wouldn't give Froch a rematch if Froch to lose questionably - what are people's views on that?

I used to really like Groves - never want him to win against Froch, mind - but I'm going to find it harder to like him after this fight when he moves onto future opposition, even though he's British and obviously talented.

They've fought each other already. Froch won, and Groves performed well enough to suggest he could beat Froch too. Neither of them is winning this fight on 'mind games'. They both know they can win this.

People really get sucked in to this silly WWE-style hype and BS these days. overkill. All this coverage. It's Soap opera bull****, pantomime crap. I guess it builds interest and generates profits. I find it tedious, personally.

    me 2!!!

its a close fight. one in which groves at his best fought carl at his worst and still lost - the ref makes a poor call but I do think momentum had turned and froch was coming on strong....

when it comes down to it bar any controversy the better fighter will win on the night

I must admit I have gone right off groves in the build up to these fights and im hoping froch sparks him clean out this time

I don't view it like that really, obviously Sky have to got to hype the fight up, but it wasn't Sky who make Froch act like a dithering idiot in the lead up to the first fight. Froch is trying to act relax around Groves now but he's still quite transparent to me.

But it's irrelevant to the actual outcome of the fight. When the bell rings, it's on. There's no reason to believe either of these guys will lack confidence or be psyched out when the bell rings.

It was Carl being over confident which was to his detriment early on in the fight last time.

What make this interesting is that I think Carl needs to stop him for the win. I can't see him outboxing Groves.

What happens in a studio or q/a session has no bearing on the fight it's panto for armchair fans nothing more nothing less.

Froch has a game plan for groves, groves has one for froch and nothing that is said in a studio is going to have any affect on either.

Groves is always going to win the mind games, it's just in his makeup, and Frochs macho mentality makes him susceptible to this. From what I have seen so far though for this fight, Groves is going over old ground and starting to look bad, Froch knows he can't win verbally so it is driving him on even more to do the business fight night.

No, he's really not. Groves is trying hard to wind him up and Froch is trying hard to hold it together and be somebody else.

We all know Froch is pathetically insecure, he will be beat before the opening bell when the crescendo of noise hits him.
